No Place in Heaven is the fourth studio album by British singer-songwriter Mika, released on 15 June 2015 via Republic Records (Casablanca). [2]
After his first two records were described as campy affairs, Mika's third release The Origin of Love marked a drastic shift in musical style for the songwriter. No Place in Heaven continues that evolution. Mika described the recording process in an interview with Out Magazine: "I formed a little design studio with my sister and started drawing again like we used to in the kitchen of my mother's house. I was basically liberating myself and making my brain work very hard—scaring myself with challenges. As a result, the album is direct, low-down, open, candid, playful, yet a mature pop album which takes its inspiration from '60s pop music, very much the way my first album did." [3]
Shortly after the record was officially confirmed, the songs "Talk About You" and "Last Party" were released. The latter song is an homage to late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. [4]
"Talk About You" was released as the album's lead single. [5] It was released to digital retailers on 31 March and the music video premiered on 27 April 2015. [6]
Music videos for "Last Party," "Good Guys" and "Staring at the Sun" were released on 8 April, [7] 25 May [8] and 31 July [9] respectively.
The video for "Last Party" featured Mika singing directly into the camera and was filmed in black and white by famed fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh.
The song "Hurts" was remixed into an electro-pop version and appears on the November 2015 French reissue of No Place In Heaven as the 17th track, and on the Italian reissue as the 18th track. This version was released in Italy as a single first played on radio on 29 January 2016. It was also featured in the 2016 Italian film Un Bacio. [10] A music video featuring Mika and three of the film's stars was released in February 2016. Both versions of the song appear on the film's soundtrack release. [11]
On 13 November 2015 the album was re-released in the form of a double-disc deluxe edition, containing a number of bonus tracks on Disc 1 as well as a full-length orchestral bonus disc, which includes a performance by MIKA with L'Orchestre Symphonique De Montreal. [12]
This version of the album has currently only been released in France, Canada and Italy. The French edition uses the original French track listing of the album, as well as containing five bonus tracks, including a remix of "Hurts", three new songs (including French-language track "Je Chante"), and a French version of "Staring at the Sun".[ citation needed ]
The Italian edition uses the original English track listing of the album, as well as containing six bonus tracks, including "Boum Boum Boum" (which had not previously been released in the country), the "Hurts" remix, three new songs (including Italian-language track "Center of Gravity"), a bonus Italian version of one of the new songs as well as "Porcelain".[ citation needed ]
In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at number 19, and lasted three weeks on the charts with sales of 15,000, improving on the sales of The Origin of Love . It also debuted at number six in Canada and number 117 in the United States. The album had more success in France, where it debuted and peaked at number two, lasting 54 weeks on the charts with more than 140,000 sales, earning a platinum award, and in Italy, where it debuted at number 3 and lasted 53 weeks with more than 55,000 sales, also earning a platinum award there.
The album was also a success in other parts of Europe, including in Switzerland, where it reached number four, in Wallonia, where it reached number three and in Flanders, where it reached number 9. The album also charted in Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Croatia, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Latvia. The album peaked at number 33 in Japan and debuted at number 10 in South Korea.

Borrowed Heaven is the fourth studio album by Irish rock band The Corrs, released through Atlantic Records on 31 May 2004. The album was produced by Olle Romo.
The Corrs Unplugged is the third album by Irish band The Corrs, filmed and released in the fall of 1999. The album is part of the iconic MTV Unplugged series, which features musicians performing in a more acoustic, “stripped-down” concert setting. Initially, the album was released internationally, albeit not in the United States until a year later, after the band had experienced further success with their single “Breathless” and their fourth album In Blue, with both releases earning them their highest chart positions to-date in the US.
Greatest Hits is a greatest hits album by English rock band the Cure. It was first released in Japan on 7 November 2001, before being released in the UK and Europe on 12 November and then in the US the day after. The band's relationship with longtime label Fiction Records came to a close, and the Cure were obliged to release one final album for the label. Lead singer Robert Smith agreed to release a greatest hits album under the condition that he could choose the tracks himself. The band also recorded a special studio album released as a bonus disc to some versions of the album. The disc, titled Acoustic Hits, consists of the eighteen songs from the North American release re-recorded using acoustic instruments.
Miracle is the twenty-first studio album and ninth English-language album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released by Sony Music on 11 October 2004. It is a concept album credited to Dion and Australian photographer Anne Geddes. The songs were produced by David Foster. Miracle topped the chart in Canada and Wallonia (Belgium), and reached top five in the United States, United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands. The Best of 1990–2000 is the second greatest hits album by Irish rock band U2. It was released on 5 November 2002 through Island Records and Interscope Records. It was issued as both a single-disc CD compilation and as a multi-disc compilation called The Best of 1990–2000 & B-Sides, which included a second disc of 14 B-sides released between 1990 and 2000 and a bonus DVD. A video album of the same name was later released in December 2002.

U218 Singles is a greatest hits album by Irish rock band U2, released in November 2006. In most markets, the album contains 18 songs: 16 of their most successful and popular singles, and two new songs. The album was produced by Greg Wells, mixed by Wells, with co-production on two songs by Jodi Marr and John Merchant. The album was released via Casablanca Records on 5 February 2007 in the United Kingdom, and on 27 March 2007 in the United States.
"Relax, Take It Easy" is the debut single by British singer-songwriter Mika, from his debut album Life in Cartoon Motion. Celebration is the third greatest hits album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on September 18, 2009, by Warner Bros. Records. The album features 34 songs spanning Madonna's career since signing up with the label in 1982. It also includes three new songs: "Celebration" which is included on all versions, "Revolver" which is included on the two-disc editions, and "It's So Cool" which is included as a bonus track on some digital two-disc editions. Moon Landing is the fourth studio album by the British singer-songwriter James Blunt, released on 18 October 2013 through Custard Records and Atlantic Records. "Boum Boum Boum" is a song by British singer Mika, written by himself alongside Doriand, while produced by Mika, Klas Ahlund and Tim Van Der Kuil. The song was released as a single on 11 June 2014 and was later included on the French as well as on the Italian and Japanese editions of Mika's fourth studio album No Place in Heaven (2015).
Kylie Christmas is the thirteenth studio album, and first Christmas album, by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. It was released on 13 November 2015 by Parlophone. Following the release of her twelfth studio album, Kiss Me Once, Minogue announced her departure from Parlophone, and her management deal with American label, Roc Nation. Minogue signed an exclusive one-album deal with Parlophone to release Kylie Christmas, with distribution through Warner Music Group worldwide and Warner Bros. Records in the United States. A Christmas music album consisting of thirteen songs and three bonus tracks, Kylie Christmas contains both cover versions and original songs.
