The Nothing Phone 2a, stylised as Phone (2a), is an Android smartphone by Nothing. The phone was announced on 5 March, 2024 [1] and released on 12 March, 2024. The Nothing Phone (2a) surpassed 100,000 units sold in its first day after release. [2]
The phone comes out of the box with Nothing OS 2.5.5 installed, which is based on Android 14.
This is a project by Nothing to collaborate with their growing community. In this variation of the phone, the community is allowed to be a part of creating the phone in four sectors: hardware design, wallpaper design, packaging design and marketing. Each part of development includes submissions from participants, which are then viewed by the community and then they vote for their favourites. The winning design's makers get to work with the actual team at Nothing which is involved in the creation of the phone and all other aspects of production.

The device is available globally in limited numbers, except for India where it enjoys wide availability. The Pocophone was often considered to be a flagship model of the Redmi line of 2019, although officially marketed as a separate and distinct model.
