Novosilsky District (Russian : Новосильский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [2] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 778.3 square kilometers (300.5 sq mi). [3] Its administrative center is the town of Novosil.
