Ochrolechia frigida is a species of lichen belonging to the family Ochrolechiaceae. It was first formally described by Olof Peter Swartz in 1781, as Lichen frigidus. Bernt Arne Lynge transferred it to Ochrolechia in 1928. [2]
It is a known host species to the lichenicolous fungus species Sphaerellothecium araneosum and Weddellomyces tartaricola . [3]

William Anderson Weymouth was an amateur botanist. He worked as an insurance assessor with the National Mutual Insurance Company. In 1887 he began collecting mosses and lichens, sending them to several European bryologists including Antonio Jatta in Italy, and Viktor Brotherus in Finland. Jatta named a species of lichen in honour of Weymouth called Ochrolechia weymouthii, and Brotherus named the moss genus Weymouthia. Weymouth published several papers on mosses from Tasmania.

Phacopsis oroarcticae is a species of lichenicolous (lichen-dwelling) fungus in the family Parmeliaceae. It was formally described as a new species in 2010 by Russian mycologist Mikhail P. Zhurbenko. The type specimen was collected from a stony polar desert in the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago in Central Siberia, where it was found growing on the lobes of the foliose lichen Brodoa oroarctica; the species epithet refers to its host. Infection by the fungus results in bleached, swollen, and sometimes contorted lobes. It is the first Phacopsis species known to have Brodoa as a host.
Skyttea ochrolechiae is a species of lichenicolous (lichen-dwelling) fungus in the family Cordieritidaceae. Found in Japan, it was formally described as a new species in 2015 by Russian mycologist Mikhail P. Zhurbenko. The fungus grows on the epiphytic lichen Ochrolechia trochophora, but does not visibly damage its host. It is somewhat similar to Skyttea fusispora, but unlike that fungus, it has an orange-brown exciple that stains purple with the K test, and has shorter ascospores, typically measuring 14.7‒18.9 by 3.1‒3.9 μm.
Verseghya is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Pertusariaceae. It has two species. The genus was circumscribed in 2016 by lichenologists Sergey Kondratyuk, Laszlo Lőkös, and Jae-Seoun Hur, with Verseghya klarae assigned as the type species. This crustose species is found in South Korea, where it grows on the bark of a wide variety of both deciduous and coniferous trees. Molecular phylogenetic analysis showed that Verseghya klarae occupied a separate phylogenetic branch in the Pertusariaceae, situated between the genera Ochrolechia and Pertusaria and the Lecanora subcarnea species complex. Verseghya thysanophora was transferred to the genus in 2019. It is widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere.
Oxneriaria is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Megasporaceae. It has nine species, all of which are saxicolous (rock-dwelling), crustose lichens. The genus was circumscribed in 2017 by Sergey Kondratyuk and László Lőkös to contain species formerly in the Aspicilia mashiginensis species group. This species, now the type of the genus, was first described scientifically by Alexander Zahlbruckner as Lecanora mashiginensis. The genus name honours Ukrainian lichenologist Alfred Oxner, who, according to the authors, "provided important contribution [sic] to taxonomy of aspicilioid lichens and to biodiversity of polar lichens".
Erichansenia epithallina is a species of saxicolous (rock-dwelling), crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. It is also a lichenicolous lichen species, meaning that it grows on other lichens. Many host genera have been recorded. It occurs in Europe and North America, including Arctic regions.
