The Old City Hall, also known as the County Court House and State House, is an historic, American city hall building that is located in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. [1]
Built between 1795 and 1797, this historic structure is a three-and-one-half-story, brick building with stone accents that was designed in the Federal style. It was built as a "public office house" and housed the Commonwealth offices when Lancaster was the capital from 1799 to 1812.
This building, which was restored in 1924, has also housed city and county offices, a Masonic lodge, a post office, and library. [2] It now houses the Lancaster visitor's center.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. [1]

The W.W. Griest Building, also known as the Lancaster Federal Building and PP&L Building, is a historic skyscraper located in the city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It was designed by noted Lancaster architect C. Emlen Urban and built 1924–1925. It is built in the Italian Renaissance Revival style and is a steel frame building faced in granite, limestone, and terra cotta. The Griest Building is fourteen stories tall and each floor measures 66 feet by 55 feet, or 3,600 square feet. The 12th floor, now office space, once housed a 300-seat auditorium with a green and gold frescoed ceiling. A 53 foot tall tower was added to the top of the building in 1976. The W.W. Griest Building is the second tallest building in the city of Lancaster.
The Dubuque County Jail is a historic building at 36 East 8th Street in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. Completed in 1858, the jail is an example of the uncommon Egyptian Revival style. It is architecturally a highly original work of John F. Rague, who also designed the 1837 Old Capitol of Illinois and the 1840 Territorial Capitol of Iowa. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark for its architecture in 1987. It served as a jail for more than a century, became a museum in 1975, and was converted into county offices in 2016.

It was built as the Reynolds family residence and used as such into the 1950s, after which it was sold to Wilkes College in 1957.
