Watson flew to Turkey in 2016 and tried to cross the border into war-torn Syria in February 2017. [16] However, he was intercepted by the Turkish authorities and deported to the UK after vowing to carry out terrorist atrocities during encrypted chats with undercover MI5 agents. [17]

Glasgow is a trustee of The Kalisher Trust, a legal charity which aims to transform the lives of bright young people through the development of their advocacy skills and supports those who aspire to become criminal barristers. [23] Glasgow is a trustee of NewWave in the Community, a sports charity which aims to transform the lives of vulnerable young people through the provision of sport and fitness coaching.

<i>R v Huhne</i>

Regina v Christopher Huhne and Vasiliki Pryce is the prosecution of the former British Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Chris Huhne MP, and his former wife, Vicky Pryce, the former Head of the Government Economic Service, for perverting the course of justice, contrary to common law. Huhne became the first Cabinet minister in British history to resign as a consequence of criminal proceedings. On 4 February 2013, Huhne was convicted on the basis of his own plea after re-arraignment. The trial of Pryce began on the following day, lasting until 20 February 2013 when the jury were discharged by the judge. A re-trial began on 25 February 2013 and led to the conviction of Pryce on 7 March 2013.

Dame Parmjit Kaur "Bobbie" Cheema-Grubb,, styled Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb, is a judge of the King's Bench Division of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales. She is the first Asian woman to serve as a High Court judge in the United Kingdom.
