Oxhey Woods is a 98 hectare Local Nature Reserve in South Oxhey in Hertfordshire. [1] It is owned and managed by Three Rivers District Council. [2] [3]
It is mainly semi-natural woodland, and some areas date back to the last Ice Age, the Younger Dryas, 11,500 years ago. [1] The range of habitats make it an important ecological site. Plants include bluebells, anemones and violets and the rare wild service tree. [2]
The woods have parking facilities, picnic benches and a trail. [2] There is access from Nairn Green, Oxhey Drive and Prestwick Road.
South Oxhey is a suburb of Watford in the Watford Rural parish of the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire, England. It is located in the south western corner of Northwood Hertfordshire and close to the boundary with Greater London. At the 2011 Census South Oxhey's population was included in the Northwick Ward of Three Rivers Council

Ruislip Woods is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and national nature reserve covering 726 acres (294 ha) in Ruislip in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The woods became the first national nature reserve in an urban area of England in May 1997, receiving the Green Flag Award in 2006. Ruislip Local Nature Reserve at TQ 090 899 is part of the national nature reserve.
Rowley Green Common is a six hectare Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Importance Metropolitan for Nature Conservation in Arkley, north London. It is owned by the London Borough of Barnet and according to the Natural England details page it is jointly managed by the Hertfordshire and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and the London Wildlife Trust, but as of August 2015 it is not on the list of reserves of either Trust. It is also registered common land.

It is owned and managed by Croydon Council. The site was purchased by Coulsdon and Purley Urban District Council under the Green Belt Act in the 1930s.

The Withey Beds is a 7.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. It was declared an LNR in 2004 by Three Rivers District Council, and the council owns and manages the site.
Batchworth Heath in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, is four hectares of designated common land around the junction of Batchworth Heath Hill, Batchworth Lane and White Hill, owned and managed by Three Rivers District Council. The habitat is heathland with an ancient pond and rich wildlife. Since July 2015 the site has been listed by Natural England as a Local Nature Reserve, but according to Three Rivers Council this is an error and they have asked Natural England to remove it from the list.
Prestwick Road Meadows is a 2.8 hectare Local Nature Reserve in South Oxhey in Hertfordshire. It is owned and managed by Three Rivers District Council.
