Oxyomus sylvestris is a species of aphodiine dung beetle in the family Scarabaeidae. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]} It occurs in Europe, the Near East, and North Africa. ^[1] It is saprophagous rather than a "true" dung beetle. ^[6]
