Johann Ernst Hanxleden German Jesuit priest and missionary

Johann Ernst Hanxleden (1681–1732), better identified as Arnos Pathiri, was a German Jesuit priest and missionary, best known for his contributions as a Malayalam and Sanskrit poet, grammarian, lexicographer, and philologist. He lived in India for most part of his life and became a scholar of Sanskrit and Malayalam languages before authoring Puthen Pana, a poem on the life of Jesus Christ, Malayalam–Portuguese Dictionary, the first dictionary in Malayalam as well as two linguistic treatises, Malayalavyaakaranam and Sidharoopam.

Pana Sankranti Odia new year

Pana Sankranti, also known as Maha Bishuba Sankranti, is the traditional new year day festival of Odia people in Odisha, India. The festival occurs in the solar Odia calendar on the first day of the traditional solar month of Meṣa, hence equivalent lunar month Baisakha. This falls on the Purnimanta system of the Indian Hindu calendar. It therefore falls on 13/14 April every year on the Gregorian calendar.

Pana Wina Island is an island of Papua New Guinea. It is part of the Calvados Chain, a grouping of islands within the Louisiade Archipelago. Pana Wina is the largest island in the Calvados Chain, and lies near the eastern end of the chain, just west of Hemenahei Island. The very small Yakimoan Island lies just west of Pana Wina. The capital village of the Calvados Chain, where the ward's school is located, Bomalou, with a population of just over 300, lies on the western shore of the island.

St. Francis Xavier Forane Church, Velur

St. Francis Xavier Forane Church is at the center of Velur, Kerala, India. It is a Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, and a protected monument in the Archdiocese of Thrissur with considerable antiquity and spiritual heritage. Historically this Forane church has been the mother church of many parishes. Four Forane divisions have come into existence out of this church.

Costel Pană is a retired Romanian football midfielder. He won the Liga I title with Dinamo București playing alongside his brother, the defender Marian who was also an international footballer. After he ended his playing career, he worked as a manager.
