Pangandaran Regency is a Regency in West Java province, Indonesia, formed on 25 October 2012 out of the former southern portion of Ciamis Regency. [2] The population of this area as of the 2010 Census was 383,848, [3] and was 423,670 at the 2020 Census; [4] the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 431,464 (comprising 215,696 males and 215,768 females). [1] The administrative capital is the town of Parigi.
Pangandaran Regency contains a beach called Pantai Pangandaran (Pangandaran Beach) and Cukang Taneuh Canyon (Green Canyon).
The regency is divided into ten districts (kecamatan), tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census [3] and 2020 Census, [4] together with the official estimates for mid-2023. [1] The administrative centre of each district is in the town of the same name. The table also includes the numbers of administrative villages (all classed as rural desa) in each district, and its postcode(s).

In 2011 Ciamis Regency was boosting the (new) tourist destinations with the idea of making a new Regency on the south of the '(virtual) isthmus' where there is also a tourist destination (Pangandaran Beach) as a cash cow.[ citation needed ] The tourist destinations are Situ Lengkong Panjalu, Kingdom of Sunda Astana Gede Kawali site and the most potential destination is Curug Tujuh, Cibolang, Panjalu.[ citation needed ] Curug Tujuh is located 2 kilometres from Cibolang main road. Curug Tujuh means "seven waterfalls", due to there being 7 waterfalls along a 5 kilometres track. The tallest waterfall is more than one hundred metres high. [5]
Situ Lengkong Panjalu, 76.2 hectares has a small island in the centre of the lake called Nusa Gede where many East Javanese people come to visit King of Panjalu's son's cemetery. [6]
In June 2011 the Tourism and Culture Ministry agreed to make the Pangandaran area into a National Tourism Site like Bali. It covers Karapyak Beach in Kalipucang District through Pangandaran Beach in Pangandaran District and Batu Karas Beach in Cijulang District. [7]
In 2010, Green Canyon was visited by 125,000 visitors, and in 2011 by 150,000 visitors. On holiday there were more than 2,000 visitors per day increased boat waiting time due to narrow access to Green Canyon and the boat had to wait for those who swam. [8]

Banyuwangi Regency is a regency of East Java province in Indonesia. This regency also known as the sun rise of Java because it is located at the easternmost end of Java Island. The town of Banyuwangi serves as a port for ferry services between Java and Bali. The regency is surrounded by mountains and forests to the west; by sea to the east and south - is separated by the Strait of Bali from Bali. With an area of 5,782.5 km2, this regency is by far the largest on the island of Java. The regency is a tourist destination, and subject to ongoing development as an international tourist destination with relevant infrastructure. Banyuwangi regency has been declared a taman bumi, or national geological park (Geopark) in 2018.
Garut Regency is a Regency in the West Java province of Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,065.19 km2 (1,186.91 mi2). Geographically, it lies between 6°57′34″ – 7°44′57″ South latitude and 107°24′34″ – 108°7′34″ East longitude. The population at the 2010 census was 2,404,121, and at the 2020 census was 2,585,607; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 2,683,665. South Tarogong is the regency seat.

Cilacap Regency is a regency in the southwestern part of Central Java province in Indonesia. Its capital is the town of Cilacap, which had 260,376 inhabitants in mid 2023, spread over three administrative districts.
North Jakarta, abbreviated as Jakut, is one of the five administrative cities which form Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. It has its administrative centre in Tanjung Priok.
Pacitan Regency is a regency located in the southwestern corner of East Java Province, with Central Java Province on its western border. Located between 7.55° - 8.17°S and 110.55° - 111.25°E. The borders of Pacitan Regency are with Wonogiri Regency in the west and north, Ponorogo Regency and Trenggalek Regency in the east, and the Indian Ocean in the south. It covers an area of 1,389.87 km2 and had a population of 540,881 at the 2010 census and 586,110 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 597,390. Dumai, is a coastal city in Riau Province on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, about 188 km from Pekanbaru, the provincial capital. Sukabumi Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in southwestern Java, as part of West Java province of Indonesia. The regency seat is located in Palabuhan Ratu, a coastal district facing the Indian Ocean. The regency fully encircles the administratively separated city of Sukabumi. Covering an area of 4,164.15 km2, the regency is the largest regency in West Java and the second largest regency on Java after the Banyuwangi Regency in East Java. The regency had a population of 2,341,409 at the 2010 census and 2,725,450 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 2,802,404, with a large proportion of it living in the northeastern part of the regency that encircles Sukabumi City, south of Mount Gede. A plan to create a new regency, the putative North Sukabumi Regency, was considered by the Indonesian government in 2013, but has been deferred until the end of the current morotorium on new creations of regencies.
Tasikmalaya Regency is a regency in the province of West Java in Indonesia. With an area of 2,708.82 km2 (1,046 sq mi), it is the biggest and most important in the southeast region of East Preanger. Tasikmalaya Regency had a population of 1,687,776 at the 2010 census and 1,865,203 at the 2020 census; the mid-2023 official estimate was 1,907,045.
Ciamis Regency is a landlocked regency in West Java, Indonesia, and shares a provincial border with Central Java. Its seat is the town of Ciamis, also the primary urban center. Formerly, the regency included the town of Banjar, which was separated out to become an independent city on 11 December 2002; it also included areas bordering the Indian Ocean, but these southern districts were cut off to form a separate Pangandaran Regency on 25 October 2012. The regency now covers 1,597.67 km2, and had a 2020 census population of 1,229,069,> but the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,251,544.
Lima Puluh Kota Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of West Sumatra province, Indonesia. Tanjungpandan, also colloquially written as Tanjung Pandan, is the largest town on the island of Belitung in the Indonesian province of Bangka Belitung Islands. Tanjungpandan is the capital of the Belitung Regency comprising one of the five districts (kecamatan) within that Regency. Central Tapanuli Regency is a regency in North Sumatra province, Sumatra, Indonesia. The seat of the regency government is at Pandan.
