Pareas hamptoni, also known commonly as Hampton's slug snake, is a species of snake in the family Pareidae. The species is native to Southeast Asia.
The specific name, hamptoni, is in honor of Herbert Hampton, collector of the holotype. [3]

The preferred natural habitat of P. hamptoni is forest, at altitudes of 600–1,500 m (2,000–4,900 ft). [1]
P. hamptoni is arboreal, and it is both diurnal and nocturnal. [1]
