It is one of four large apartment complexes erected by the Emerys during the 1880s; only the Brittany and the Lombardy Apartment Buildings have endured to the present day. Both the Lombardy and the Brittany were built in 1885 according to designs by Samuel Hannaford; at that time, his independent architectural practice was gaining great prominence in the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

The Saxony Apartment Building is a historic apartment building in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Located along Ninth Street in the city's downtown, this five-story brick building includes a distinctive range of architectural details. Among these elements are brick pilasters and projections, a three-story bay window on each side of the symmetrical main facade, semicircular balconies, and many stone pieces, such as pediments, keystones, and stringcourses. Due to its location at the intersection of Ninth and Race Streets, the Saxony appears to have two fronts: one onto each street. Although the Ninth Street facade is larger and more complex, the Race Street facade is nevertheless ornate as well: it features small yet elaborate semicircular balconies with wrought iron railings similar to those of the Ninth Street facade.
The Duke Ellington House is a historic residence at 935 St. Nicholas Avenue, in Manhattan, New York City. Apartment 4A in this apartment house was the home of Duke Ellington (1899-1974), the noted African American composer and jazz pianist, from 1939 through 1961. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark in 1976 and became a New York City designated landmark in 2023.
The River Terrace Apartments is an apartment building located at 7700 East Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. River Terrace Apartments was one of the first two garden apartment complexes built in Michigan which used loan guarantees from the Federal Housing Administration, the other being Hillcrest Village in East Lansing.

Columbia Avenue Historic District is located in the central part of the city of Davenport, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The district lies north and west of Vander Veer Park. The area is entirely residential and it contains brick apartment buildings that were built between 1930 and 1939. It is one of the city's smallest districts and it is unique among the other historic districts in that it contains primarily apartment buildings.
Fernwood Park Historic District is a national historic district located in the northeast quadrant of Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district consists of 40 contributing buildings and one contributing site. The garden apartment complex was originally built in 1947 as part of the Rochester Plan to provide quality, low rent housing for veterans returning from World War II and their families. There are 38 two story garden style apartment buildings and one pair of garage units with 36 garages. There are a total of 152 apartments, or four per building, with the buildings grouped in three clusters. The buildings are in a vernacular Colonial Revival style. It is one of three complexes built as part of the Rochester Plan; the others are Norton Village and Ramona Park.
Norton Village Historic District is a national historic district located in the northeast quadrant of Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district consists of 144 contributing buildings. The garden apartment complex was originally built in 1949 as part of the Rochester Plan to provide quality, low-rent housing for veterans returning from World War II and their families. There are 144 two-story garden-style apartment buildings with a total of 288 two-story apartments, or two per building, with the buildings grouped in four main clusters. The buildings are in a vernacular Colonial Revival style. It is one of three complexes built as part of the Rochester Plan; the others are Fernwood Park and Ramona Park.
Lincoln Place Apartment Homes is a historic apartment community owned by a subsidiary of Apartment Investment and Management Co. (Aimco). Inspired by the garden city movement, it is located at 1050 Frederick Street on a 35-acre site in the Venice community of Los Angeles, one mile east of Venice Beach. Built from 1949-1951, the property is just off Lincoln Boulevard, bound by Lake Street and Penmar Avenue with Elkgrove Avenue and Elkgrove Circle within its interior.
The Hallett Flats–Rawson & Co. Apartment Building at 1301–1307 Locust St. in Des Moines, Iowa is a pair of abutting buildings. The Hallett Flats building, at 1305–1307 Locust St., is a three-story building designed by architect George E. Hallett and was built in 1904. It has also been known as Hallett Apartments. The Rawson & Co. Apartment Building, a four-story building designed by Proudfoot, Bird and Rawson, was built in 1915 in such a way that the two would function as one building. It has also been known as Arlington Apartments. The combination was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The listing included two contributing buildings and one other contributing structure.
Southern Biscuit Company, also known as Interbake Foods, Inc. and Famous Foods of Virginia (FFV), is a historic factory building located in Richmond, Virginia. The original section was built in 1927, and is a six-story, reinforced concrete building. It was subsequently expanded four times through 1951. The building features a water tower and distinctive roof-top sign. The sign has three rows of letters spelling "HOME OF", "FFV", and "COOKIES AND CRACKERS". The facility closed in 2006.
Belk Hudson Lofts is an apartment building in Huntsville, Alabama. Originally two buildings, the first was built on the corner of Washington Street and Holmes Avenue in 1930 to house Fowler's Department Store, one of several department stores on Washington Street. The second building, adjacent to the first along Holmes, was constructed in 1936 as a farm supply store. Fowler's went bankrupt in 1938, and Belk Husdon purchased the corner building in 1940. Beginning in 1944, they also leased the Holmes building, and the two were joined. After Belk Husdon left the downtown area, the building was renovated into offices in the 1980s. The one-story Holmes building was occupied by Olde Towne Brewing Company from 2004 until 2007, when the building was destroyed by fire. In the 2010s, the corner building was reconstructed into a loft apartment building, with the original façade kept largely intact.
Parkway Gardens Apartment Homes is a 694-unit privately owned apartment complex located on the border of Woodlawn and Washington Park. Chicago's Woodlawn and Washington Park community areas are located on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. The complex was built from 1950 to 1955; architect Henry K. Holsman, who planned several of Chicago's affordable housing developments, designed the Modernist buildings.

Hotel Albert, also known as The Albert and Albert Apartments, is a historic hotel and apartment complex located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, New York City. The hotel was noted for being popular among artists, musicians, writers, and political radicals. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
The Dumas Tenements are a pair of four-unit apartment buildings, set back-to-back at 114 West Allen and 114 West Canal Streets in Winooski, Vermont. Built about 1907 by a French Canadian immigrant, they are among the only buildings of their type to survive the city's urban redevelopment efforts of the late 20th century. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
The Pilgrim and Puritan Apartment Complex is a historic apartment building located at 9303–9333 East Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. It is a large and intact example of a courtyard style of apartment building complex, not found elsewhere on East Jefferson Avenue. The Pilgrim and Puritan provided housing for Detroit's growing professional and middle-class during a time when the surrounding area was being developed with luxury apartment buildings.
The Garfield-Broad Apartments is a historic building in the Olde Towne East neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was built in 1929 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
