Pateley Bridge railway station is a disused railway station in North Yorkshire, England.
The station was the terminating station on the North Eastern Railway (NER) Nidd Valley branch line. The station opened in 1862 and had a single platform; a small goods yard and a small locomotive depot, comprising a shed and a railway turntable.
In 1907 a connection was opened from the station, across the main street in Pateley Bridge to link the Bradford Corporation owned Nidd Valley Light Railway (NVLR) with the NER branch line. This connection was only used by goods traffic as the NVLR opened its own passenger station a few hundred metres away and passengers had to walk between the two stations. [3] [4]
The station was host to a camping coach in 1933 and 1935, possibly one for some of 1934 and two coaches from 1936 to 1939, the station was also used as an overnight stop for touring camping coach service in 1935. [5]
All traffic on the NVLR ceased in 1936 and the Nidd Valley branch went into a decline which led to the withdrawal of passenger services in 1951 and the closure of the line and the station to all traffic in 1964. [2]
The main station building at Pateley Bridge survived and is now in private use.

Guisborough railway station was the terminus of the Middlesbrough and Guisborough Railway. It served the town of Guisborough in North Yorkshire, England. The station was opened to goods in November 1853, and to passenger traffic on 25 February 1854. The station was closed to passengers, along with the entire Nunthorpe–Guisborough branch, on 2 March 1964, with freight being lost in August 1964.

Nidd Valley Light Railway was a light railway in upper Nidderdale in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was owned by Bradford Corporation Waterworks Department and the corporation also operated its public passenger services. Power & Traction Ltd of London obtained a Light Railway Order for the 6.5-mile (10.5 km) railway from Pateley Bridge to Lofthouse in 1900, but these powers were taken over by Bradford Corporation. A contract to build Angram Reservoir was awarded to John Best & Son in 1903, and he also won the contract to build the public railway and a 6.5-mile (10.5 km) private extension to the reservoir site. This was initially built to 3 ft gauge but was converted to standard gauge by 1907, when the public railway opened. Best had his own locomotives, and Bradford Corporation equipped the public railway with second hand locomotives and carriages from the Metropolitan Railway.
The Nidd Valley Railway was a 11.5-mile (18.5 km) long single-track branch railway line that ran along the valley of the River Nidd in North Yorkshire, England. Built by the North Eastern Railway, it ran from Ripley Junction, on the Harrogate to Ripon Line, to Pateley Bridge via five intermediate stations, Ripley Valley, Hampsthwaite, Birstwith, Darley, and Dacre.

The York and Doncaster branch was a railway line that opened in 1871 connecting Doncaster with York via Selby in Yorkshire, England. This line later became part of the East Coast Main Line (ECML) and was the route that express trains took between London King's Cross, the north of England and Scotland. It was opened by the North Eastern Railway (NER) between York and Shaftholme Junction, some 4.5 miles (7.2 km) north of Doncaster railway station. Between its opening in 1871 and the grouping in 1923, the line was used by both the NER, and the Great Northern Railway (GNR). All of the intermediate local stations that had opened with the line in 1871 closed down in the 1950s and 1960s leaving just Selby open between the town of Doncaster and the city of York.
Wath-in-Nidderdale railway station, was one of two intermediate stations on the Nidd Valley Light Railway, in Wath-in-Nidderdale, Yorkshire, England. The station was opened in September 1907, and closed to passengers in January 1930, however the line remained open until 1936 to transport freight to and from the reservoirs in the Upper Nidd Valley.
Lofthouse-in-Nidderdale railway station was the northernmost regular passenger terminus on the Nidd Valley Light Railway (NVLR), in Lofthouse, then in the West Riding of Yorkshire and now in North Yorkshire, England. The station was built as part of Bradford Corporation's programme of reservoir building in the Upper Nidd Valley. The station opened in 1904 and was closed to passengers in 1930. The station was renamed Lofthouse-in-Nidderdale railway station in 1907 to avoid confusion with Lofthouse and Outwood railway station, also in the West Riding of Yorkshire.
Pateley Bridge railway station (NVLR) was a railway station serving the southern terminus of the Nidd Valley Light Railway, in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire, England. The railway was built to enable the construction of reservoirs in the Upper Nidd Valley by the Bradford Corporation. The station opened to passengers in September 1907, and closed in January 1930, however, the adjacent line remained open for the transfer of goods traffic until 1937.
