Peter Chambers (born 14 March 1990) is a British rower, and is the brother of fellow rower Richard Chambers. [1] He is a World Champion in the men's lightweight double sculls and an Olympic silver medalist in the men's lightweight coxless four.
Peter began rowing in Coleraine, Northern Ireland for Bann Rowing Club.
His first international medal came in 2009, when he and won the bronze medal in the men's lightweight quadruple sculls at the Under-23 World Championships. [2] In 2010, he won the silver medal in the men's lightweight single sculls at the Under-23 World Championship. [3] in 2011, he finally stood on the top step of an Under-23 World Championship podium, winning the men's lightweight double sculls with Kieren Emery. [4]
That year, Chambers and Emery also won the senior men's lightweight double sculls World Championship. [5]
At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London he was part of the British crew that won the silver medal in the lightweight men's four, alongside his brother Richard, Rob Williams and Chris Bartley. [6]
At the 2013 World Championship, he won bronze with his brother in the men's lightweight double sculls. [7]
In 2014, Chambers won silver at the European Championship and bronze at the World Championship in the men's lightweight four. [8] [9]
He was the 2015 European Champion in the lightweight men's pair, along with Joel Cassells, who also started his rowing career at Bann Rowing Club. [10] [ citation needed ]
In 2016, he won European silver in the men's lightweight four, [11] and was selected for the British Olympic team competing in the men's lightweight coxless four event with Chris Bartley, Mark Aldred and Jono Clegg, finishing in seventh place. [12]
In 2017 at the 2017 World Rowing Championships he won a silver in the lightweight quadruple sculls. [13]
Richard Scott Chambers is a British rower, and is the brother of fellow rower Peter Chambers. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London he was part of the British crew that won the silver medal in the lightweight men's four.
David Šain is a Croatian rower. He is an Olympic medalist and won silver at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's quadruple sculls event with Martin Sinković, Damir Martin and Valent Sinković.
Jochen Kühner is a German rower. At the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's lightweight four. He has also been world champion in this event, along with his brother Martin Kühner, Jost Schömann-Finck, and Matthias Schömann-Finck. He has also been world champion in the men's lightweight eight, and runner up in the men's lightweight pair, again with his brother.
Jérémie Azou is a French former rower. He is an Olympic, World, and European champion in the men's lightweight double sculls.
Glen Loftus is an Australian former lightweight rower. He was a national champion, an U23 world champion and an Olympic silver medalist. In competitive retirement he was a coach and a rowing administrator in Western Australia.
Stany Delayre is a French rower. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed with Jérémie Azou in the men's lightweight double sculls, finishing in 4th place. On home water, he and Azou won the 2015 World Championship in that event. Their team also won the silver medal at the 2014 World Championships, and won the 2013, 2014 and 2015 European Championships. In 2009, Delayre was part of the French men's lightweight quadruple sculls time at the World Championships. He was also part of the French under-23s men's lightweight quadruple sculls at the 2006 and 2007 Junior World Rowing Championships.
Pietro Willy Ruta is an Italian rower. He competed in the men's lightweight double sculls with Elia Luini at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and in the men's lightweight coxless four at the 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in 4th.
Christina Giazitzidou is a Greek rower. She won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, in the Women's lightweight double sculls.

Lauritz Schoof is a German rower. He was part of the German crew that won the gold medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He also successfully defended the quadruple sculls title at the 2016 Rio Olympics as part of the German team.
Simon Schürch is a Swiss rower. He won gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the men's lightweight four, with the team being coached by New Zealander Ian Wright. He also competed in the Men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Lucas Tramèr is a Swiss rower. He won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's lightweight four, with Simon Schürch, Simon Niepmann and Mario Gyr. The team was coached by New Zealander Ian Wright. Tramèr has also won a number of gold medals at the World Rowing Championships. He also competed in the Men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Thomas Baroukh is a French rower. He competed in the Men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing in 7th. At the 2016 Olympics, he was part of the French lightweight coxless four that won the bronze medal. The same team, consisting of Baroukh, Franck Solforosi, Guillaume Raineau and Thibault Colard, also won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Rowing Championships and bronze at the 2015 European Rowing Championships. Baroukh's previous team, which included Solforosi, Raineau and Augustin Mouterde won the bronze at the 2013 and 2014 European Championships. Baroukh and Mouterde won the silver medal in the men's lightweight pair at the 2014 World Rowing Championships.
Lars Hartig is a German rower. A World and European medallist, he participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where he competed in the Men's lightweight double sculls event together with his teammate Linus Lichtschlag. They qualified for the A finals, where they reached a sixth place.
Eleftherios Konsolas is a Greek rower. He participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where he competed in the Men's lightweight double sculls event together with his teammate Panagiotis Magdanis. They qualified for the B finals, where they reached a second place, finishing in 8th place overall.
Panagiotis Magdanis is a Greek rower. He is a two-time World Champion in the men's lightweight quadruple sculls.
Inge Janssen is a Dutch rower. A world champion in the women's four, she was part of the Dutch quadruple sculls that won silver at the 2016 Olympics and competed in the double sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
