Pompeiana (Ligurian : Pumpiâna [3] ) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, situated about 110 kilometres (68 mi) southwest of Genoa and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southwest of Imperia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 859 and an area of 5.4 square kilometres (2.1 sq mi). [4]

Pompeiana borders the following municipalities: Castellaro, Cipressa, Pietrabruna, Riva Ligure, Santo Stefano al Mare, and Terzorio.
