Poshteh Hir (Persian : پشته هير‎, also Romanized as Poshteh Hīr; also known as Līrd)^[1] is a village in Kuhestani-ye Talesh Rural District, in the Central District of Talesh County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16, in 4 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Kuhestani-ye Talesh Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Talesh County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 6,479, in 1,512 families. The rural district has 48 villages.
