Roku (Persian : ركو‎, also Romanized as Rokū; also known as Row Kūh and Rūd Kūh)^[1] is a village in Chubar Rural District, Haviq District, Talesh County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 258, in 58 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script, which itself evolved from the Aramaic alphabet.

Chubar Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Haviq District, Talesh County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16,429, in 3,700 families. The rural district has 50 villages.

Haviq District is a district (bakhsh) in Talesh County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 30,348, in 6,913 families. The District has two cities: Haviq and Chubar. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Chubar Rural District and Haviq Rural District.
