Projecto Moda ("Project Fashion") is a Portuguese reality competition TV show that ran for one season, from 25 July to 26 September 2010, on public network RTP1. It is the Portuguese installment of the Project Runway franchise. [1]

The host of the show was Nayma Mingas, a former model. [2] Paulo Gomes was the mentor. Manuel Alves, a fashion designer, and Fátima Cotta, the director of Elle Magazine Portugal, were the judges for the season. [3] The other permanent judge was Cristina Pinho, a spokesperson from Modalfa, a Portuguese fashion store. [4] The show had 10 contestants, and only two finalists. The show had 10 episodes that aired weekly. [5]

Episode 1: Preto no Branco

The designers were asked to create a dress for Vicky Fernandes, who was considered many times one of the most beautiful women in Portugal. However, there was a twist. The designers couldn't select the fabric of their dresses, Instead they took two samples of fabric out of a bag without looking at it. They were preassigned models for their challenge, given 30 minutes to sketch their design, and three days to complete the outfit. The winner has immunity for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.

Episode 2: Supermercado

The designers were asked to create an outfit made only from materials bought at a supermarket. They had a budget of €60, 1 hour to make their purchases and one day to complete the outfit. The winner has immunity for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.

Episode 3: Saída de Praia

The designers had to create an outfit with a beach theme. They are given two minutes to collect provided fabrics hanging from clotheslines in a storeroom, and only one day to complete the outfit. The winner has immunity for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.

Episode 4: Farda Futurista

Original Airdate: August 15, 2010

The designers had to create a uniform of the future, for the employees of Modalfa (the official sponsor of Projecto Moda). The fabrics were provided and each designer chose one at a random order. The winner has immunity for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.

<i>Project Runway</i> (season 2) Season of television series

Project Runway Season 2 was the second season of Bravo's successful Project Runway, a reality competition for fashion designers. Season 2 began airing on December 7, 2005. Following a nationwide search earlier in the year, sixteen designers were chosen as semi-finalists and brought to New York City in June 2005. After the first challenge, called "Road To The Runway", fourteen went on to compete as finalists. The winning designer, Chloe Dao, received $100,000 in seed money to help launch her own line, a 2007 Saturn Sky roadster, a spread in ELLE magazine, and a mentorship with the Banana Republic Design Team. Winning alongside Dao was her model, Grace Kelsey, who received the ELLE Magazine spread. Michael Kors and Nina Garcia returned as judges for the second season. Season 1 of Project Runway Malaysiafeatured 15 designers from various parts of the country competing to be the best designer. Judges for the first season were Bernie Chan, Datuk Bernard Chandran, Asiah Mion, Seema Visamanathan, Wirda Adnan and Aster Lim. There are also guest judges through the season.

Project Runway Canada Season 1 is the first season of Project Runway Canada, a reality competition show for fashion designers that is part of the Project Runway franchise. It aired in late 2007 on the Slice channel, which had relaunched earlier that year. The season received critical acclaim, and won the 2008 Gemini Award for Best Reality Program or Series. Project Runway Canada gave Slice one of its most successful series since the launch of its new branding.

The second season of Project Runway Canada, Global's reality competition show for fashion designers, was the first season to air on the Global network, since the show stopped airing on Slice. The season premiered on January 27, 2009.

Project Runway Season 18 began Thursday, December 5, 2019. Sixteen designers compete to become "the next great American designer." Returning as judges are supermodel Karlie Kloss, editor-in-chief of Elle, Nina Garcia, fashion designer Brandon Maxwell, and former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue Elaine Welteroth. Season 4 winner Christian Siriano returns to mentor the designers and use the "Siriano save" for the first time to bring an eliminated designer back into the competition if he disagrees with the judge’s verdict. A "save" was also used by Tim Gunn beginning in Season 12 and continuing for the remainder of his time with the show.
