Project Runway Middle East, is the Arabian version of the successful American reality TV show Project Runway . The show premiered on September 4, 2016 on MBC Group. The show features 12 Arabian designers who compete to become "the next big Arab designer". The contestants compete with each other to create the best clothes and are restricted in time, materials and theme. Their designs are judged, and one or more designers are eliminated each week. During each season, selected competitors are progressively eliminated based on the judges' scores until only a few contestants remain; these finalists prepare a complete fashion collection, from which a winner is determined. Each episode welcomes a celebrity guest judge that will contribute in the decision making.

Project Runway Middle East is hosted by Valerie Abou Chacra, ex-Miss Lebanon 2015 and the mentor, Reem Faisal is a Saudi fashion designer and entrepreneur.

Format

Project Runway Middle East uses progressive elimination to reduce the initial field of 12 or more fashion designers down to three or four before the final challenge. Each Episode features a celebrity guest who announces a new challenge, which requires the designers to develop one or more pieces of new clothing to be presented at a runway show. The challenges range in creative diversity to test the designers' ingenuity while maintaining their personal fashion design aesthetic. After the Challenge announcement The designers are given a budgeted stipend to select and purchase fabric and notions, and then provided a limited amount of time to finish their designs. Often, the designers work independently, although on some challenges, contestants must work in teams or as a single collective group. Once the deadline is reached, the designers must dress their models and select their hair, make-up, and accessories. Each model walks down the runway, and the garment the contestant made is rated by the panel of judges, including the world renowned Lebanese designer Elie Saab, Tunisian fashion model, actress and television presenter Afef Jnifen and finally Egyptian actress and singer Yousra

Project Runway Season 2 was the second season of Bravo's successful Project Runway, a reality competition for fashion designers. Season 2 began airing on December 7, 2005. Following a nationwide search earlier in the year, sixteen designers were chosen as semi-finalists and brought to New York City in June 2005. After the first challenge, called "Road To The Runway", fourteen went on to compete as finalists. The winning designer, Chloe Dao, received $100,000 in seed money to help launch her own line, a 2007 Saturn Sky roadster, a spread in ELLE magazine, and a mentorship with the Banana Republic Design Team. Project Runway Canada Season 1 is the first season of Project Runway Canada, a reality competition show for fashion designers that is part of the Project Runway franchise. <i>The Voice: Ahla Sawt</i> Arabic television show

The Voice: Ahla Sawt is the Arabic version of Dutch show The Voice of Holland created by John de Mol and produced by Talpa Media Group. The first season of MENA's version of The Voice debuted on 14 September 2012 and was broadcast worldwide from Beirut, Lebanon via MBC 1, a pan-Arabian television station. Through an agreement, the show was also simulcast via LBCI's channels. The first two season's main host was Egyptian actor Mohammad Kareem and Arwa Gouda. Nadine Wilson Njeim hosted from backstage.

Project Runway Season 13 is the thirteenth season of the television show Project Runway, appearing on Lifetime. The season began airing on July 24, 2014, with 19 designers competing to become "the next great American designer." Project Runway Season 17 is the seventeenth season of the television show Project Runway, returning to Bravo for the first time since season 5. The season began on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Sixteen designers compete to become "the next great American designer." This was the first season to feature: Karlie Kloss taking over for Heidi Klum, Brandon Maxwell as Zac Posen's replacement, additional judge and former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, Elaine Welteroth, as well as returning judge and editor-in-chief of Elle, Nina Garcia. In addition, Season 4 winner Christian Siriano replaced Tim Gunn's role as mentor throughout the competition.

After more than a year-long hiatus, the fourth series of Arab Idol was relaunched on MBC, with its premiere on 4 November 2016. Once again, just like in the previous season, the jury was composed of singers Wael Kfoury, Nancy Ajram, and Ahlam, as well as music producer Hassan El Shafei, and Ahmad Fahmi returned as host of the show. The first four episodes covered the first round of the show, the auditions process, which took place in nine different Arab countries and, for the first time ever, in Turkey. Although thousands of hopefuls put forth their candidacy, only 64 went through to the second round of auditions in Beirut, Lebanon by the end of which, the 25 semi-finalists were picked to go through to the third round, the live show. The Palestinian contestant Yaacoub Shaheen won the title.

The nineteenth season of Project Runway began Thursday, October 14, 2021. Sixteen designers competed to become "the next great American designer." Elle editor-in-chief Nina Garcia, fashion designer Brandon Maxwell, and former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief and journalist Elaine Welteroth returned as judges. Season 4 winner Christian Siriano returned to mentor the designers and use the "Siriano Save" to bring an eliminated designer back into the competition if he disagrees with the judges' verdict. Karlie Kloss did not return as host and head judge but appeared in the penultimate episode of the season as a guest judge.

Project Runway El Djazair, is the Algerian version of the successful American reality TV show Project Runway. It premiere in November 04, 2023 on Echorouk TV. The show features 12 Algerian designers who compete to become "the next big Algerian designer". Contestants compete against each other for the best costumes and are limited in time, materials and theme. Your designs will be reviewed and one or more designers will be eliminated each week. In each episode, the selected contestants are gradually eliminated based on the judges' scores until only a few contestants remain. These finalists will prepare a complete fashion collection from which the winner will be selected. Each episode features a celebrity guest judge involved in the decision-making process.
