Queens Center Mall is an urban shopping mall in Elmhurst, Queens, New York City, on Queens Boulevard between 57th Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard. Queens Center Mall is the largest mall in Queens. [3] It is currently owned and managed by The Macerich Company, who purchased the mall in the 1990s. The mall features Primark (coming soon), JCPenney and Macy's.
The mall has a gross leasable area of 966,499 square feet (89,790.7 m2) [2] and 198 stores.
The mall is adjacent to the Woodhaven Boulevard station ( R train) on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway. It is across the street from the former St. Johns Hospital and the Rock Church. It is also off Exit 19 on the Long Island Expressway.
Queens Center Mall opened on September 12, 1973, on land previously occupied by a children's amusement park named Fairyland, [4] [5] [6] a supermarket, and automobile parking. The original anchor tenants were Abraham & Straus and Ohrbach's. The mall underwent a major expansion from 2002 to 2004, nearly doubling in size as the original mall was renovated and another wing was added to the east of 92nd Street. [7] [8]
The mall's current anchor tenants are Macy's and JCPenney. In addition, it has a large food court in the basement. [9]
For a limited time during the 2006 Christmas shopping season, the Macy's location in Queens Center was open 24 hours a day, becoming the first to do so. Since then, it has had all-day operating hours during every Christmas shopping season. [10]
On March 8, 2019, the mall was evacuated when an appearance by rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie was canceled and fans rioted and looted stores, including the Foot Locker. [11] The mall reopened the next day.

Ohrbach's was a moderate-priced department store with a merchandising focus primarily on clothing and accessories. From its modest start in 1923 until the chain's demise in 1987, Ohrbach's expanded dramatically after World War II, and opened numerous branch locations in the New York and Los Angeles metropolitan areas. Its original flagship store was located on Union Square in New York City. It maintained administrative offices in Newark and in Los Angeles. The retailer closed the Newark offices in the 1970s. Paul László designed the Union Square store as well as many of their other stores.
Queens Place is an urban shopping mall in Elmhurst, Queens, New York City. Just northwest of the larger Queens Center, it is located on Queens Boulevard between 55th and 56th Avenues. The building was constructed in 1965 as Macy's and was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It was later converted to Stern's, due to Macy's of Elmhurst moving into Queens Center, as part of Macy's dissolving of Abraham & Straus, in 1994, and then, as a result of Macy's dissolving Stern's in 2001, closed by Federated Department Stores. Today its flagship stores are Best Buy, Macy's Furniture Gallery, and Target, and it contains many smaller stores such as Red Lobster, Dunkin Donuts, Macy's Backstage and Mrs. Fields' Cookies.
Green Acres Mall is an indoor shopping mall located in South Valley Stream, New York, off Sunrise Highway in Nassau County near the border of New York City and the Incorporated Village of Valley Stream. As of 2022, the mall currently features two Macy's locations, as well as a Primark coming soon. The mall currently features staples like Express, H&M, and Forever 21. The mall has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 2,069,000 square feet (192,200 m2). The mall is the 18th largest in the United States. The mall is extremely popular in Nassau County and in the neighboring New York City borough of Queens. The mall is accessible by many Nassau Inter-County Express routes as well as two MTA New York City Bus routes, the Q5 and Q85, that cross the city border.
Smith Haven Mall is a shopping mall located in Lake Grove, New York, and is the main mall for the "Middle Island" area of Long Island. It is also the easternmost enclosed mall on Long Island, and thus draws shoppers from the communities that make up the Hamptons, and the North Fork. The Shops at Montebello is a shopping mall mainly located within the city limits of Montebello, California, with over 120 national and local retail outlets such as Aeropostale, Disney Store, Hollister, Victoria’s Secret and BJ's Restaurant & Brewery. A small portion of its eastern side is actually within the city limits of Rosemead. It features major department stores, children's stores, smaller shops such as beauty and bath stores, health stores and salons, as well as a small food court. Pacific Retail announced ownership of the mall on the company Instagram page on January 24, 2019.

Willow Grove Park Mall is a three-story shopping mall located in the community of Willow Grove in Abington Township, Pennsylvania at the intersection of Easton Road and Moreland Road in the Philadelphia suburbs. Broadway Plaza is an outdoor shopping mall located in downtown Walnut Creek. The shopping center opened on October 11, 1951 and is owned and operated by Macerich. The mall is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's, and features nearly 80 stores including Crate & Barrel, flagship H&M and ZARA stores, a standalone Apple store with an adjoining outdoor plaza, an Industrious co-working space, a planned Pinstripes entertainment center and restaurant, and a planned Life Time Fitness sports club.
In 2006, Macy's Queens Center store was the first Macy's store to go 24-hours. Due to its unprecedented success, Macy's added additional store locations for the 2007 and 2008 holiday seasons.
