The Rajendra Nagar railway station (station code: RJQ) is one of the local railway station in the city of Indore.

The station is located on the Akola-Ratlam line of Indian Railways. It is equipped with two reservation counters. It was a metre-gauge station [1] earlier but now has been converted into broad-gauge station under the Ratlam-Akola Gauge Conversion Project.

Additionally the station operates in double-track system, however only single track has been used so far. The station is also used as railway yard to park some trains for the busy Indore Junction.

The Akola–Ratlam rail line is a railway line in India linking Akola in Maharashtra with Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. As of January 2023, Ratlam to Dr.Ambedkar Nagar, Sanawad to Khandwa And Akot to Akola Has been Completed.

Dr. Ambedkar Nagar - Omkareshwar Road Passenger was a metre-gauge passenger train of the Indian Railways, which was running between Dr. Ambedkar Nagar in Madhya Pradesh and Omkareshwar Road in Madhya Pradesh. It has been closed down since 30 January 2023 as the track between the two stations is being converted to Broad Gauge.

Patalpani–Kalakund Heritage Train is a metre-gauge passenger train of the Indian Railways, which runs between Patalpani railway station, Mhow in Madhya Pradesh and Kalakund in Madhya Pradesh. It is being operated with 52965/52966 train numbers, which operates three days a week i.e Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Patalpani section of the Western Railway Zone is an under-construction public transit system in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It connects Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (MHOW) with Patalpani as part of the Akola-Ratlam line. It is currently undergoing gauge-conversion as a single-track electrified Broad-Gauge railway line.
