Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Station Code: SHRN) is a railway station in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. It is operated by West Central Railway from February 1, 2018. [1] Previously the station was named "Bairagarh(BIH)" and was operated under Ratlam Division of Western Railway. [2] [3]

Development

The renovation of Sant Hirdaram Nagar station was completed in 2021 by the West Central Railway zone of Indian Railways. [4] In the same year, coach guidance systems which display the code and coach number of an oncoming train were installed on the station, thus upgrading facilities. [5] Recently, a proposal to upgrade the waiting hall for passengers, due to the increased footfall was made. [6]

Hemu Kalani was a revolutionary and freedom fighter during the Indian Independence Movement. He was a leader of Swaraj Sena, a student organisation which was affiliated with All India Students Federation (AISF). He was one of the youngest revolutionaries to be martyred for the nation's freedom struggle, being executed by the British colonial authorities when he was only 19, two months before his 20th birthday.

Thrissur railway station is a railway station in Kerala, India. Thrissur also is known as the Cultural Capital of Kerala.
