Raw FM is an Australian narrowcast radio network, consisting of stations in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Queensland. [1]

Contents

The network was started with the opening of a station on the Central Coast of New South Wales in 1999 and then expanded to take on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, parts of New South Wales, Gold Coast and Australian Capital Territory. It consists of 29 stations linked via the Optus D2 satellite. [2]

Programming

Raw FM's programming is aimed at the 14-30 age group. The station broadcasts a mix of electro house, indie dance, Club Hits and Urban sounds and features programs from Roger Sanchez, Above & Beyond, Global Dance Session, as well as live broadcasts from major clubs and events in its broadcast areas.

The service is played out from the Telstra Broadcast Services facility in the Pitt Street Telephone Exchange and transported to Oxford Falls where it is uplinked to the Optus D2 satellite across Australia and New Zealand.

Rhema FM is the name used for a number of Christian radio stations established with the help of, and assisted for many years by United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) in Australia. Each station is independent, being run and programmed locally with many having moved away from the Rhema name. UCB has also established the Vision Radio Network across Australia, which is entirely networked from UCB's Brisbane studios.

Capital Radio Network is an Australian radio company, which owns stations in Canberra, Goulburn, Cooma, the Snowy Mountains, Gippsland and Perth. The company is a subsidiary of Blyton Group, with Kevin James Blyton as managing director for both. KIX Country is a radio network broadcasting in various towns across Australia. Its target demographic is all people who love country music. Kix Country Radio is part of ARN. It is transmitted primarily via narrowcast stations of varying power. All bar three stations operate on the FM band.

The format of Indigo FM is adult alternative, including a mix of blues, soul, Americana and contemporary music.
