Rebentischia is a genus in the Tubeufiaceae family of fungi. [1]
The genus name of Rebentischia is in honour of Johann Friedrich Rebentisch (1772-1810), who was a Polish-German botanist (Bryology, Mycology and Algology) from Neumark. [2]
The genus was circumscribed by Petter Adolf Karsten in Syll. Fungorum (Saccardo) vol.2 on page 12 in 1883.
As accepted by Species Fungorum; [3]
Former species;
Scortechinia is a genus of fungi in the Ascomycota, of the family Nitschkiaceae.
Spegazzinia is a genus of widely distributed mitosporic ascomycete fungi in the family Apiosporaceae. This genus is somewhat related to other lobed or ornamented genera, such as Candelabrum. No information is available regarding health effects, toxicity, or allergenicity. The distinctive spores of Spegazzinia are occasionally identified on spore trap samples. It may also be found in the air by culturable (Andersen) samples if a long enough incubation period is provided so that sporulation occurs. Laboratories have never found this organism growing on indoor environmental surfaces. Natural habitat includes soil and many kinds of trees and plants.
Thielaviopsis is a small genus of fungi in the order Microascales, and family Ceratocystidaceae. The genus includes several important agricultural based pathogens. The most widespread is T. basicola, the causal agent in several root rot diseases of economically important crop species including cotton and a variety of vegetables. In cotton, Thielaviopsis causes root rot, also known as black root rot, which causes necrosis of the roots and stunting of the crop plants.
Ainsworthia is a genus of fungi in the family Chaetothyriaceae.
Sorokina is a genus of fungi in the family Dermateaceae. The genus contains 6 species.
Trabutia is a genus of fungi in the family Phyllachoraceae.
Melanomma is a genus of fungi in the family Melanommataceae. It probably evolved from a lichen ancestor, as it is closely related to many lichenized species of fungi.
Uleodothis is a genus of fungi in the family Venturiaceae.
Venturia is a genus of fungi in the family Venturiaceae. First identified in 1882, species in the genus are plant pathogens. Venturia is widespread and the genus contains an estimated 58 species, or 130 species. Anamorphs were historically represented in the genus Fusicladium.
Cesatiella is a genus of fungi in the family Hyponectriaceae.
Seynesia is a genus of fungi in the family Cainiaceae.
Otthia is a genus of fungi in the family Botryosphaeriaceae. There are about 76 species.
Roumegueriella is a genus of fungi in the class Sordariomycetes. It consists of three species.
Curreya is a genus of fungi in the family Cucurbitariaceae.
Didymosphaeria is a genus of fungi in the family Didymosphaeriaceae.
Massaria is a genus of fungi in the family Massariaceae.
Eriosphaeria is a genus of fungi in the family Trichosphaeriaceae. Species in this genus are plant pathogens.
Tubeufia is a genus in the Tubeufiaceae family of fungi.
Zelleromyces is a genus of fungi in the family Russulaceae. It was first described by mycologists Rolf Singer and Alexander H. Smith in 1960 to contain hypogeous (underground) fungi with gasteroid fruit bodies that "bleed" latex when they are cut.
Zignoëlla is a genus of fungi within the Chaetosphaeriaceae family.
