Riau University (Indonesian : Universitas Riau) is a public university in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. It was established on October 1, 1962. Its current rector is Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Aras Mulyadi, M.Sc.

Pekanbaru City in Riau, Indonesia

Pekanbaru is the capital of Indonesian province of Riau, and a major economic center on the eastern part of Sumatra Island. It has an area of 632.26 km² with a population of 1,093,416. Located on the banks of the Siak River, which drains into the Strait of Malacca, Pekanbaru has direct access to the busy strait and was long known as a trading port. Pekanbaru was originally built as a market by Minangkabau merchants during the 18th century. Its name is derived from the Malay words for 'new market'.

Riau Province in Indonesia

Riau, is a province of Indonesia. It is located in the central eastern coast of Sumatra along the Strait of Malacca. Until 2004 the province included the offshore Riau Islands, a large group of small islands located east of Sumatra Island and south of Singapore, before these islands were split off as a province in July 2004. Airlangga University university

Airlangga University is the second-oldest university in Indonesia and also a public university located in Surabaya, East Java. Despite being officially established by Indonesian Government Regulation in 1954, Airlangga University was first founded in 1948 as a distant branch of the University of Indonesia, with roots dating back to 1913. An-Nur Great Mosque Pekanbaru

An-Nur Great Mosque is a mosque located in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Construction began in 1963 and was completed in 1968. The mosque can accommodate about 4,500 worshipers. He is known for his lectures on various religious issues, especially regarding hadith studies and Islamic jurisprudence.
