Wisconsin is a U.S. state located in the north-central United States, in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions. It is bordered by Minnesota to the west, Iowa to the southwest, Illinois to the south, Lake Michigan to the east, Michigan to the northeast, and Lake Superior to the north. Wisconsin is the 23rd largest state by total area and the 20th most populous. The state capital is Madison, and its largest city is Milwaukee, which is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan. The state is divided into 72 counties.

Sturgeon Bay is a city in and the county seat of Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 9,144 at the 2010 census. It is located at the natural end of Sturgeon Bay, although the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal was built across the remainder of the Door Peninsula.

As of the 2011-2012 season, there were 49 teams competing in NCAA Division III women’s hockey in five conferences. In addition, there were three colleges who are not in Division III who compete primarily against Division 3 schools, bringing the total number of teams competing in regular season play to 52 schools. Many NCAA Division III schools are smaller than NCAA Division 1 colleges, though size is not the determining factor. There is a mix of private colleges and public colleges among the NCAA Division III schools. Some women student-athletes play two sports in NCAA Division III, though it remains a challenge to mix hockey and another sport because as a winter sport, hockey will still overlap with a fall or spring sport.
The Church of St. Michael is a historic Roman Catholic church building in St. Michael, Minnesota, United States, constructed in 1890. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for having local significance in the themes of architecture, exploration/settlement, and religion. It was nominated for its status as the dominant architectural feature and the religious and social center of a German Catholic community.
