Schizopygopsis eckloni is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which also includes the carps, barbs, minnowns and related fishes. [2] This fish is endemic to China where it occurs in the upper Yellow River drainage, from Qinghai to Gansu and parts of Sichuan. [1] This species has maximum published standard length of 39.5 cm (15.6 in). [3]

Named in honor of F. L. Ecklon, one of Nikolai Przhevalsky's assistants during his second trip to Tibet, whose services Przhevalsky said were "invaluable". [4]

This species is endemic to China where it occurs in the upper Jinsha Jiang and Yalong Jiang basin in Qinghai, Sichuan, part of Tibet, and Yunnan. It grows to 20.4 cm (8.0 in) SL.

Schizopygopsis younghusbandi is a species of ray-finned fish endemic to Tibet. It occurs in the Yarlung Tsangpo River drainage and in endorheic lakes in its vicinity. Schizopygopsis younghusbandi grows to about 50 cm (1.6 ft) in total length.

<i>Schizopygopsis przewalskii</i> Species of fish

Schizopygopsis przewalskii is a species of cyprinid that is endemic to the Lake Qinghai basin in China, where it is the dominant fish species. S. przewalskii is a planktivore with a main population that migrates from the lake to rivers to spawn and another that lives its entire life in the nearby Ganzi River. The species is listed as endangered on the China Species Red List due to overfishing and habitat loss, which has led to suspension of its commercial fishery four times since 1989.
