Shefali Jariwala, better known as the Kaanta Laga Girl, is an Indian actress and model who has appeared in several Hindi music videos, reality shows and film productions. She became noted when she appeared in the famous music video Kaanta Laga and played Bijli in the film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. She participated in the dance reality shows Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 along with Parag Tyagi. In 2019, she participated in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 13.
Waqt: The Race Against Time or simply known as Waqt (transl. Time) is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Based on a Gujarati play by Aatish Kapadia, the film stars an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Shefali Shetty Shah, Rajpal Yadav and Boman Irani. It follows the journey of Ishwar Chandra Thakur (Bachchan), an old rich businessman who unexpectedly turns very strict to his spoiled son Aditya Thakur (Kumar) to teach him life lessons before it is too late.
Shefali Shah is an Indian actress of film, television and theatre. Respected for her acting prowess, she works primarily in independent Hindi films and has received local and foreign accolades for her performances. Shah's acting career started on the Gujarati stage before she debuted on television in 1993. After small parts on television and a brief stint with cinema in Rangeela (1995), she gained wider recognition in 1997 for her role in the popular series Hasratein. This was followed by lead roles in the TV series Kabhie Kabhie (1997) and Raahein (1999). A supporting role in the crime film Satya (1998) won her positive notice and a Filmfare Critics Award, and she soon shifted her focus to film acting starting with a lead role in the Gujarati drama Dariya Chhoru (1999).
