Shikaripura Assembly constituency is one of the 224 assembly constituencies of Karnataka, a state in Southern India. It is named after the town of Shikaripur, which forms part of the constituency. It is one of the eight Vidhan Sabha constituencies which form Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency.

He served as the 13th Chief Minister of Karnataka, and he was former Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly between 1983 - 2022 in different timelines. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is also the only politician in Karnataka so far to have served four times as the Chief Minister and three times as the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He is the longest serving BJP Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is former MLA from Shikaripura constituency in Shimoga district, from where he has been elected eight times.

Bookanakere Yeddyurappa Raghavendra is an Indian politician and a member of the 16th Lok Sabha representing Shimoga district of Karnataka and was a member of 14th Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He previously represented Shikaripura Assembly constituency of Karnataka and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

She was a cabinet minister in the Government of Karnataka. She is a close confidant to former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Udupi Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka a state in southern India. This constituency was created as part of the implementation of the delimitation of the parliamentary constituencies in 2008, based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002. It first held elections in 2009 and its first member of parliament was D. V. Sadananda Gowda of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Gowda was selected on 4 August 2011 to become Chief Minister (CM) of Karnataka after the previous CM B. S. Yeddyurappa resigned. As of the latest elections in 2019, Shobha Karandlaje of the BJP represents this constituency.
