Showroom, stylized as SHOWROOM, is a Japanese live streaming service used primarily for Japanese idols and voice actors. A development of DeNA, it has been integrated into the audition process for idol groups such as 22/7, [3] Nogizaka46, [4] and Keyakizaka46. [5]
App analytics company App Annie announced on September 13, 2017, that for the first half of 2017, in terms of revenue, SHOWROOM is Japan's top-ranked video distribution application. [6]
The service is used for daily live-streams which may be viewed for free. As of March 2018, there are no paid or subscription-based memberships. Revenue is generated from paid virtual gift items given to the performer by registered members during live-streams. Earnings are shared with the performers based upon the number of points they accumulate based on audience size, the number of comments, and other factors, [7] and production companies may offer licensing deals or other music offers. Initially, it only allowed streaming by the DeNA headquarters studio and by officially-recognized entertainers. After September 13, 2014, any registered member could live-stream. [10] English language support was also added. [7]

The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls is a Japanese free-to-play simulation video game co-developed by Cygames and Bandai Namco Studios for the Mobage social network platform for mobile phones. It was first released on November 28, 2011, for feature phones, and compatibility was extended to iOS and Android devices on December 16, 2011. The game is based on The Idolmaster franchise, and features a cast of new idol characters. The original game ended service on March 30, 2023, and was succeeded by its spinoff game and adaptations.

Sakamichi Series refers to a Japanese idol group franchise that began with Nogizaka46, an "official" rival group of AKB48. It currently consists of four groups: Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, Hinatazaka46, and Yoshimotozaka46. Despite the name, the groups are not required to have exactly 46 members. Except for Yoshimotozaka46, all the groups were named after real streets in Minato, Tokyo and have all-female memberships.

Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019 by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. It composed of Vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. Represented by the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released songs based on selected short stories posted on Monogatary.com, a social media website for creative writing operated by the label. Sources were later also come from various media like stories written by professional authors, books, letters, and plays, etc.

Natsuiro Matsuri is a Japanese virtual YouTuber (VTuber) affiliated with Hololive Production. She is part of Hololive (Japan) 1st Generation alongside Akai Haato, Yozora Mel, Shirakami Fubuki and Aki Rosenthal. Matsuri debuted as a VTuber on June 1, 2018, and has since amassed over 1 million subscribers on YouTube.
