"Summer Sixteen" is a single by Canadian rapper Drake, released to promote his fourth studio album Views , although it was not included on that album. The song premiered on OVO Sound Radio [1] and was released for digital download on January 30, 2016. [2] It was produced by 40, Boi-1da and Cubeatz. It features uncredited vocals by DJ Khaled. [3]

The song contains a slowed-down sample of the song "Glass Tubes" performed by Brian Bennett. [4] The artwork for the single was designed by Filip Pągowski, the creator of the Comme des Garçons logo. [5] The song has been interpreted as a diss track against American rapper Meek Mill.

Commercial performance

"Summer Sixteen" debuted at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100 the week of February 20, 2016, selling 215,000 downloads in its first week; these sales became the highest debut sales of Drake's career. [6] As of March 26, 2016, the single sold 358,032 copies in the United States. [7]

"Mob Ties" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake from his album, Scorpion (2018). It was released as the seventh single from the album on January 6, 2019. The song was produced by Boi-1da and Allen Ritter. The song features additional background vocals by Asheley Turner. It reached the top 20 in Canada and the United States.

Cubeatz are a German hip hop production and songwriting duo from Hildrizhausen, consisting of twin brothers Kevin and Tim Gomringer. Originally embarking on their careers within German hip hop in 2008, they have since expanded and are now best known for their successful collaborations with international hip hop artists such as Drake, Future, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, and Travis Scott, among others. Cubeatz have specialized in creating melodies specifically for the purpose to be sampled by other producers to produce the final beat.

"Mafia" is a song by American rapper and singer Travis Scott. It was released on November 5, 2021, concurrently with another single, "Escape Plan", which are both a part of a conjoined single titled Escape Plan / Mafia. The song was written by Travis Scott alongside producers Boi-1da and Jahaan Sweet; with additional writing credits going to J. Cole, who provides additional vocals throughout the song.

"Silent Hill" is a song by American rappers Kendrick Lamar and Kodak Black. It was sent to rhythmic contemporary radio and urban contemporary radio through PGLang, Top Dawg Entertainment, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records as the first US single from Lamar's fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, on May 31, 2022. The song was produced by Boi-1da, Sounwave, and Jahaan Sweet, with additional production by Beach Noise. "Silent Hill" contains "crisp, lighter beats". In the chorus, Lamar claims that he is "pushing the snakes, I'm pushing the fakes, I'm pushing them all off me like, 'Huh!'".
