Differences from the original series
Unlike on the American version, which generally has 13 or 14 contestants, the Finnish series begins with only 11 or 12 models.
There are fewer reward challenges, or challenges with winners but no reward. In the early cycles there were more photo shoots than on the American version, usually two per episode.
The finalists do not participate in a fashion show at the end of the competition. The final decision is based solely on the contestants’ photo portfolio and overall performance during the competition.
Since cycle 6, male participants were allowed to apply introducing a co-ed edition.
Holland's Next Top Model is a Dutch reality television series, produced by Endemol, based on Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model. The series began airing in November 2006 on RTL 5, and has enjoyed a fair amount of success in the years since its inception. The fifth cycle of Holland's Next Top Model premiered on 5 September 2011 on RTL5. Producers of the show aired a joint Belgian-Dutch adaptation of the show, named Benelux' Next Top Model, which ran from September 2009 to November 2010 following the show's fourth cycle. In 2011, it was announced that the two countries would be parting ways and the Dutch version would continue under its original title. Three of the five panel members from the last cycle of Benelux' Next Top Model, including host Daphne Deckers, Bastiaan van Schaik, and Mariana Verkerk returned to the newly independent production.

The judging panel was revamped with Maryam Razavi as the host, and Juri Silvennoinen and Marica Rosengård as co-judges. Additionally, male hopefuls were allowed to apply introducing a co-ed cycle.

This cycle's prizes are cash amounting to hundreds of millions of Rupiahs, an all new Suzuki XL7 car unit, as well as Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G which also served as the official partner for this cycle.

The judging panel was revamped with Veronica Verho as the host, Saara Sihvonen as the main judge, and Jasmin Mishima, Juha Mustonen and Viivi Huuska as co-judges. Once again, male hopefuls were allowed to apply introducing a co-ed cycle.
