Warangal is a city in the Indian state of Telangana and the district headquarters of Warangal district. It is the second largest city in Telangana with a population of 811,844 per 2011 Census of India, and spreading over an 406 km2 (157 sq mi). Warangal served as the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty which was established in 1163. The monuments left by the Kakatiyas include fortresses, lakes, temples and stone gateways which, in the present, helped the city to become a popular tourist attraction. The Kakatiya Kala Thoranam was included in the emblem of Telangana by the state government and Warangal is also touted as the cultural capital of Telangana.

Secunderabad Junction is an NSG–1 category Indian railway station in Secunderabad railway division of South Central Railway zone. It is the major Railway Junction in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is ones of the busiest railway station in South India and one of the most important hubs in the country and a commuter rail hub in the Hyderabad urban area. Built in 1874 by the Nizam of Hyderabad during the British era, it was the main station of Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway until the Kacheguda railway station opened in 1916. The station was taken over by Indian Railways in 1951, when NGSR was nationalised. Its main portico and concourse are influenced by Nizamesque architecture. The station, which resembles a fort, is a tourist attraction in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Vijayawada Junction Railway Station is an Indian Railways station in Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh, categorized as a Non-Suburban Grade-2 (NSG-2) station in Vijayawada railway division. Situated at the junction of Howrah–Chennai and New Delhi–Chennai main lines, it is the fourth busiest railway station in the country after Howrah Junction, Kanpur Central and New Delhi. The station serves about 1.40 lakh passengers, over 190 express and 170 freight trains every day. It is one of the major railway junctions of the Indian Railways and is a nationally important halt. In September, 2023 It has been awarded Platinum Rating Certificate for its Environmental projects from IGBC

The Silchar–Secunderabad Express is a Superfast Express train operated by Northeast Frontier Railway zone of Indian Railways that runs between Silchar, Assam and Secunderabad, Telangana via Guwahati. The train is currently being operated with 12513/12514 numbers on a weekly basis. Earlier this train was run between Guwahati and Secunderabad. From 21 October 2023, the train is being extended up to Silchar.
Secunderabad–Manmad is an important railway line connecting the states of Telangana and Maharashtra. It is administered by South Central Railway and was formerly known as Hyderabad–Manmad railway line and Godavari Valley railway for some period. as of 2016, this line is single broad gauged, and electrification is under progress. In March 2023, South Central Railway announced the electrification of an additional 75 km on the line
The 20805 / 20806 Andhra Pradesh Express is a daily Superfast Express train that connects the national capital of India, New Delhi, to the largest city of Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam. The express is administered under Indian Railways's South Coast Railway Zone with the service numbers 20805 and 20806. The train service was first commissioned by then Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on 12 August 2015 as Andhra Pradesh AC Express. Later in the year 2020 Non-AC Sleeper Coaches were attached to this train which renamed this train as Andhra Pradesh Express. This train is named after the state Andhra Pradesh, as previously when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states were combined, this train used to run from Hyderabad Deccan to New Delhi. When the Telangana state was bifurcated from Andhra Pradesh state, that train was renamed as Telangana Express and a new rake of LHB coach of Andhra Pradesh Express was started from Visakhapatnam.
