The Andhra Pradesh Express was a Superfast South Central Railway train that used to run between Hyderabad and New Delhi. It operated daily, taking around 27 hours to cover the distance while passing through the states of Andhra Pradesh (present-day Telangana), Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana before reaching New Delhi.
Indian Railways had allocated the service number 12723 for the Hyderabad–New Delhi run, and service number 12724 for the New Delhi–Hyderabad run. The train service was first commissioned by Madhu Dandavate in 1976.
After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh Express runs from Telangana and hence, the name of the train will be renamed as Telangana Express with effect from 15 November 2015. [1] The new train between Visakhapatnam–Delhi via Vijayawada was named as Andhra Pradesh AC Express . [2]

Warangal is a city in the Indian state of Telangana and the district headquarters of Warangal district. Warangal served as the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty which was established in 1163. Nizamabad or Induru is a city in the Indian state of Telangana. It is governed by municipal corporation and is the headquarters of the Nizamabad district. Previously part of Hyderabad State and then Andhra Pradesh state, Nizamabad became a part of the newly formed state of Telangana under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. It is located about 186 kilometres (116 mi) north of the state capital, Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System, commonly abbreviated as MMTS, is a suburban rail system in Hyderabad, India. A joint venture of the Government of Telangana and the South Central Railway, it is operated by the latter. The 90-kilometre (56 mi) system caters to the city of Hyderabad and the neighbouring suburban areas connecting Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Falaknuma, Lingampally, Medchal and Umdanagar with a total of 133 MMTS services. Currently 86 MMTS services are being operated due to the effect of COVID-19.

The 20805 / 20806 Andhra Pradesh Express is a daily Superfast Express train that connects the national capital of India, New Delhi, to the largest city of Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam. The express is administered under Indian Railways's South Coast Railway Zone with the service numbers 20805 and 20806. The train service was first commissioned by then Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on 12 August 2015 as Andhra Pradesh AC Express. Later in the year 2020 Non-AC Sleeper Coaches were attached to this train which renamed this train as Andhra Pradesh Express. This train is named after the state Andhra Pradesh, as previously when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states were combined, this train used to run from Hyderabad Deccan to New Delhi. When the Telangana state was bifurcated from Andhra Pradesh state, that train was renamed as Telangana Express and a new rake of LHB coach of Andhra Pradesh Express was started from Visakhapatnam.
The 12615 / 12616 Grand Trunk Express is a daily Superfast Express train on Indian Railways, running between New Delhi and Chennai Central. From February 2024, the train is starting from Tambaram. It is a historic train and is one of the oldest trains starting services in 1929. It originally ran between Peshawar in the North West Frontier Province and Mangalore Central in the Madras Presidency. From September 2021, it runs with modern new LHB coach with revised coach position.
