The Blue Line (Line 3 & Line 4) is a rapid transit metro line of the Delhi Metro in Delhi, India. Mostly elevated, it is the longest line (by total length) of the network and consists of a Main Line(Line 3) with 50 stations from Noida Electronic City to Dwarka Sector 21, with a length of 56.11 kilometres (34.87 miles) and a Branch Line(Line 4) consisting of 8 stations from Vaishali to Yamuna Bank, with a length of 8.51 kilometres (5.29 miles). The Main line (Line 3) was the longest line of the Delhi Metro network until 6 August 2021, when an unfinished section between Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 and Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake stations on the Pink Line was inaugurated, becoming one 59-km-long corridor. [2]

The Dwarka – Barakhamba Road section of the line was inaugurated and opened to the public by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, on 31 December 2005. Subsequent sections opened between Dwarka – Dwarka Sector 9 on 1 April 2006, Barakhamba Road – Indraprastha on 11 November 2006, Indraprastha – Yamuna Bank on 10 May 2009, Yamuna Bank – Noida City Centre on 12 November 2009, and Dwarka Sector 9 – Dwarka Sector 21 on 30 October 2010.
A branch of the Blue line with a length of 6.25 kilometres (3.88 mi) was inaugurated on 8 January 2010 from Yamuna Bank metro station up to the Anand Vihar in East Delhi. [5] It was further extended up to Vaishali, with it opening to public on 14 July 2011. [6] On 9 March 2019, a 6.67 km extension of the line from Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City was opened for public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. [7]
The main line has been proposed to be extended from Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad with 5 stations at Vaibhav Khand, DPS Indirapuram, Shakti Khand, Vasundhara Sector 5 and Sahibabad. [8] [9]
Karkardooma station on the Vaishali branch is the second highest station of Delhi metro with a platform height of 20 metres (65 feet 7 inches). [10] Rajouri Garden station on the main line is the third highest station with a height of 17 metres (55 feet 9 inches). [11]
Delhi Metro currently has parking facilities at 35 metro stations of the Blue line. [12]

Delhi has been, since historical times, a favoured destination for shoppers.
Mayur Vihar is an upmarket residential area on the periphery of Delhi, located in East Delhi, close to the city's Noida-Delhi border, situated just across the Yamuna River, and is divided into three distinct phases (sectors). As the name suggests, it has been the dwelling (vihar) of peacocks (mayur). Even today, the area has a closed sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of peacocks.
Delhi has significant reliance on its transport infrastructure. The city has developed a highly efficient public transport system with the introduction of the Delhi Metro, which is undergoing a rapid modernization and expansion since 2006. There are 16.6 million registered vehicles in the city as of 30 June 2014, which is the highest in the world among all cities, most of which do not follow any pollution emission norm, while the Delhi metropolitan region has 11.2 million vehicles. Delhi and NCR lose nearly 42 crore man-hours every month while commuting between home and office through public transport, due to the traffic congestion. Therefore, serious efforts, including a number of transport infrastructure projects, are under way to encourage usage of public transport in the city.
Dwarka is a neighbourhood located in Southwestern edge of Indian Capital New Delhi in South West Delhi district of the NCT of Delhi. The district court that functions under the Delhi High Court for South West Delhi is located in Dwarka.
The Delhi–Noida Direct Flyway or DND Flyway is India's first 8-lane wide, 7.5 km (4.7 mi) long access-controlled expressway in Delhi NCR. It connects Maharani Bagh and Nizamuddin on the western side to Noida (Sector-15A) and Mayur Vihar on the eastern side of the Yamuna river. The Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (NTBCL) owned by IL&FS, operate and maintains it on build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) basis. The expressway, which was opened to the public in January 2001 was constructed by Japan based Mitsui-Marubeni Corporation Ltd. The length of main carriageway (MCW), including bridge on Yamuna river is 6.0 km. Rest 1.5 km is Mayur Vihar link (MVL), which was opened in 2008.
Okhla is an urban neighbourhood located near the Okhla barrage in the South East Delhi district of Delhi near the border between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Okhla has lent its name to the nearby planned township of New Okhla Industrial Development Authority or NOIDA. Okhla is also an assembly constituency.
The Western Peripheral Expressway (WPE) or Kundli–Manesar–Palwal Expressway, is an operational 6-lane, 135.6 km (84.3 mi)-long Expressway in the Haryana state of India. Along with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the Western Peripheral Expressway is expected to divert more than 50,000 heavy vehicles away from Delhi, which will help to maintain good air quality in Delhi. Western Peripheral Expressway along with Eastern Peripheral Expressway completes the largest Ring Road around Delhi. There are 10 tolled entries and exits, from north to south - Kundli, Kharkhoda, Bahadurgarh, Badli, Fartukhnagar, Panchgaon, Manesar, Taoru, Sohna & Palwal. Toll rate notified in December 2018 is INR1.35 per km for cars, INR2.18 per km for light motor vehicles, INR4.98 per km for trucks and buses, and two wheelers are not permitted on the expressway.
Indirapuram is an established residential locality in Ghaziabad, divided into various khands, such as Vaibhav Khand, Abhay Khand, Ahinsa Khand, Nyay Khand, Gyan Khand, Niti Khand, and Shakti Khand. Situated along Delhi-Meerut Expressway, the locality is surrounded by prominent areas of Vasundhara, Pratap Vihar, Vaishali, as well as Noida Sectors 62 & 63. Indirapuram comes under the Sahibabad assembly constituency in the Uttar Pradesh state assembly.
Noida City Centre is a station on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro. It was the terminal station of the Blue Line - Main Line till 8 March 2019. It was earlier known as Noida City Centre, and was renamed in October 2015. Trains from here go to Dwarka Sector 21 metro station and Noida Electronic City metro station.
Vaishali is an elevated metro station located on the branch line of the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro in Trans-Hindon area of Ghaziabad. It serves the Ghaziabad suburbs of Vaishali, Vasundhara, Maharajpur, Indirapuram, Khora and other nearby neighborhoods and areas.
Kaushambi is an elevated metro station located on the branch line of the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro in Delhi. Built as part of a 2.57 km extension from Anand Vihar station, it was originally expected to open in March 2011. After multiple delays, the station finally opened on 14 July 2011, with 200 parking spaces to cater to commuters in the vicinity.
The Delhi Metro is a rapid transit system which serves Delhi and its adjoining satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh in the National Capital Region of India. The system consists of 10 colour-coded lines serving 256 stations, with a total length of 350.42 kilometres (217.74 mi). It is India's largest and busiest metro rail system and the second-oldest, after the Kolkata Metro. The metro has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using broad-gauge and standard-gauge tracks. The metro makes over 4,300 trips daily.

Uttam Nagar is a suburb situated in West Delhi. Uttam Nagar has the Pincode 110059. Uttam Nagar mainly consists of several sub towns that are completely urbanized. Since the advent of the Delhi Metro in the area, the population has increased much faster here. The proximity with Metro, Airport and Gurgaon makes this area special.
The Pink Line is a metro rail line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. It consists of 38 metro stations from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar, both in North Delhi.
The Mohan Nagar metro station is located on the Red Line of the Delhi Metro. It is located in the Sahibabad Industrial Area locality of Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of main and busiest metro station of Ghaziabad and also the future connectivity with Vaishali Blue line metro is Proposed. Situated Right next to WSM Malls, Hospital, colleges and Industrial area which gives this metro station an extra importance. People going to anand Vihar or Vaishali can take Bus from outside the metro station also auto rickshaw to various places of Ghaziabad and Dilshad Garden is available from here.
The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System is a partially operational 82.15 km (51.05 mi)-long semi high-speed rail and regional transit corridor that will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project is being executed at a cost of ₹30,274 crore (US$3.6 billion). It will start from Jangpura as the starting station, run through Sarai Kale Khan, the terminal for the three planned corridors, both in Delhi, and end in Modipuram in Meerut. It will have 16 stations and two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.
Bijwasan railway station, on Delhi–Jaipur line lies immediate southwest of Delhi's main airport the IGI Airport, in Bijwasan in South Delhi in India. The station, part of Delhi Suburban Railway, is being upgraded to the world class regional multimodal interchange for the IGI airport by 2024. It will connect to the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor in south at Patli railway station.
Madanpur Khadar is an urban village in South East district of Delhi. It is located on Delhi-UP Border and is named after Thakur Madan Singh Chauhan. The term Khadar is attached to the village’s name because it is situated on the banks of Yamuna river. It was declared as an urban village by the administrative authorities under Delhi Metropolitan Council in 1966.
