Wuxi Metro is the rapid transit system of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, China. Line 1 began operations on 1 July 2014, [3] and Line 2 on 28 December 2014. [4] [5] Line 3 opened on 28 October 2020. Line 4 opened on 17 December 2021.
Wuxi Metro (Wuxi Metro) is an urban rail transit system serving Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China. Its first line, Wuxi Metro Line 1, was officially opened for operation on July 1, 2014, making Wuxi the 22nd in mainland China. It is the third city in Jiangsu Province to open rail transit.
As of December 2021, there are 4 operating lines in Wuxi Metro, namely Wuxi Metro Line 1, Wuxi Metro Line 2, Wuxi Metro Line 3 Phase I, and Wuxi Metro Line 4 Phase I, all of which are metro lines covering Liangxi District, Binhu District, Xishan District, Xinwu District, and Huishan District are five municipal districts, with an operating mileage of 113.53 kilometers and a total of 85 stations.
As of December 2023, there are 4 lines under construction in Wuxi Metro, namely Wuxi Metro Line 4 Phase 2, Wuxi Metro Line 5 Phase 1, Wuxi Metro Line 6 Phase 1, S2, and S1.
In 2016, the annual passenger volume of Wuxi Metro was 81.468 million, with an average daily passenger volume of more than 223,200. In 2015, its annual passenger volume was 71 million, with an average daily passenger volume of more than 195,000. In the second half of 2014, its annual passenger volume was 17.7025 million, with an average daily passenger volume of more than 97,000. On February 10, 2024, the average daily passenger flow of Wuxi subway lines reached 1,233,400 passengers (but free), exceeding the previous record of 1,103,200 passengers (paying) on December 31, 2023, setting a new record high.
On February 16, 2024, the Wuxi subway network carried 1.4112 million passengers, a record high. [6]

Line 1 runs north to south for 34.6 kilometers (21.5 mi) serving 27 stations. Most of the route is underground, with only 5 stations [3] and 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) running on an elevated alignment. CSR Zhuzhou supplied 23 six-car trainsets for the line. [9]
Line 2 runs east to west for 26.3 kilometers (16.3 mi) [7] with 21 stations (originally 22 stations, but Anzhen station is not opened), with 6.7 kilometers (4.2 mi) being elevated [7] and the remainder underground. CSR Puzhen supplied a fleet of 120m-long six-car Type B metro trains for the line. [5]
Line 3 runs east to west for 28.5 kilometers (17.7 mi) with 21 stations. The entire line is underground.
Line 4 is 25.4 kilometers in length with 18 stations. The entire line is underground.
Line S1 of Wuxi Metro, also known as Wuxi–Jiangyin intercity railway (无锡至江阴城际轨道交通) or Xicheng line (锡澄线) started construction on October 17, 2019. [10] It will be 30.4 km in length with 9 new stations, including 5 underground stations and 4 elevated stations. The line will run from Yanqiao station on Line 1 to Jiangyin Waitan station in Jiangyin (a county-level city administered by Wuxi). [8] Line S1 will through-operate with Line 1. [10] The line will have distinct express and local services. [11]
Line S2 of Wuxi Metro, also known as Wuxi–Yixing intercity railway (无锡至宜兴城际轨道交通) or Xiyi line (锡宜线) is under construction. Yixing is a county-level city administered by Wuxi. It will be 59.56 km in length from Yixing railway station to Taihu Xincheng station. Construction of the first phase (Yixing railway station to Zhoutie, about 26 km) started in January 2023. [12]

According to the long-term planning of Wuxi Metro, it will form a network of 8 lines and 1 branch line, S1、S2 and the network would be 350 km (220 mi) long in long-term planning. [13]
Lines 1, 2 and 3 would be the main lines, radiating from the city center, while Lines 4,5,6,7,8would be the tangential lines for suburb to suburb traffic. Environmentally friendly and energy efficient designs will be integrated into construction and design of the stations. [14] [15] [16]

The Nanjing Metro is a rapid transit system serving the urban and suburban districts of Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province in the People's Republic of China.
The Chengdu Metro is the rapid transit system of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, China. With the opening of Line 1 on 27 September 2010, the system had thirteen subway lines and one light rail line. It has subsequently undergone rapid expansion. Since the opening of Lines 6, 8, 9, and 17 on 18 December 2020, the Chengdu Metro is the 4th longest metro system in the world.

The Fuzhou Metro is a rapid transit system in Fuzhou Metropolitan Area, Fujian Province, China. The first line was planned to open in 2014. Due to the construction difficulties and accidental archaeologic finding, the southern section was delayed to 2016 and the northern section was delayed to 2017. Currently, the Fuzhou Metro Network consists of five lines. They are operated by Fuzhou Metro Group, and Fuzhou CETC Rail Transit Company, respectively.
The Guiyang Metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province, China. It is operated and branded as Guiyang Urban Rail Transit (GYURT).
Shenzhen Metro Line 11 opened on 28 June 2016. Line 11 has a length of 53.5 km (33.2 mi) and a total of 19 stations. It connects the CBDs of Futian, Nanshan and Qianhai to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and onward to Fuyong, Shajing and Songgang suburban areas. It serves as both a regional express line from the west coast of Shenzhen to the city core area and an airport rail link. Compared with the other lines of Shenzhen Metro, Line 11 has a longer spacing between stops for a higher speed service. Trains of Line 11 were designed to run at 120 km/h (75 mph), up to 50% faster than other lines, but currently limited to 80 km/h (50 mph) in some sections for infrastructure, tunnel wind pressure, track geometry issues and noise reasons. Construction of Line 11 started in April 2012 and test running begun at the end of March 2016. Trains run at a 4-minute frequency between Futian and Airport North, 8-minute frequency for full length trains during morning rush hours, 5-minute interval for full length during evening rush hours, and 6-minute interval for non-peak hours. Currently it takes slightly more than half an hour to travel from Futian to the Airport. Line 11's color is violet.
Line S1 of the Nanjing Metro, is a suburban metro rail line serving the southern suburbs of Nanjing, running from Nanjing South Railway Station to Konggangxinchengjiangning. It connects Nanjing South railway station with Nanjing Lukou International Airport. It is 34.9 km (21.7 mi) long has 8 stations. The line started construction on December 27, 2011, and was opened on July 1, 2014. In September 2011 a contract for 15 6 car Class B metro trains was given to CSR Corporation Limited, with the first train arriving in August 2013.
Line 2 of the Dongguan Rail Transit is a rapid transit line in Dongguan. The line currently has 15 stations and is 37.743 kilometres (23.452 mi) long, from Dongguan railway station to Humen railway station. It opened on 27 May 2016. Construction of Line 2 began in 2010.

Line 3 of the Dongguan Rail Transit is a planned rapid transit line in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China. It has a planned 24 stations from Dongguan East railway station in the Northeast of Dongguan, to Jiaoyiwan in the south of Dongguan. The construction date for Line 3 has not yet been published.
Yanqiao Station is a metro station on Line 1 of the Wuxi Metro. It began operations on 1 July 2014.
The Xuzhou Metro is a rapid transit system in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Construction began in February 2014, and Line 1 was opened on September 28, 2019, Line 2 was opened on November 28, 2020, and Line 3 was opened on June 28, 2021.

It officially began operations on 31 January 2024.
Taizhou Rail Transit is an urban rail transit system in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The system is operated by Taizhou Rail Transit Construction and Development Co., Ltd. In the near term, two lines, S1 and S2, are planned; in the long term, lines S3 and S4 are planned.
Line S6 is a rapid transit line connecting Nanjing and Jurong in Jiangsu Province, China. It is 43.64 kilometres (27.12 mi) long and has a maximum operating speed of 120 kilometres per hour (75 mph). It has opened on 28 December 2021. The line operates with a mixed express and local services using passing loops to allow for express trains to pass local ones.
