Line S6 is a rapid transit line connecting Nanjing and Jurong in Jiangsu Province, China. It is 43.64 kilometres (27.12 mi) long and has a maximum operating speed of 120 kilometres per hour (75 mph). [1] It has opened on 28 December 2021. [2] The line operates with a mixed express and local services using passing loops to allow for express trains to pass local ones. [3]
The line started construction on December 21, 2018. [4] The line is a joint venture between Nanjing Metro and the Jurong local government.

The Nanjing Metro is a rapid transit system serving the urban and suburban districts of Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province in the People's Republic of China.

Jurong is a county-level city under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China.
Jinmalu station is an interchange station between Line 2 and Line 4 of the Nanjing Metro. It is located to the north of Jinma Road and south of Benma Road (奔马路), parallel to Shishi Road (石狮路) in Qixia District. It started operations on 28 May 2010 along with the rest of Line 2; the interchange with Line 4 opened on 18 January 2017 along with the rest of that line.
Line S1 of the Nanjing Metro, is a suburban metro rail line serving the southern suburbs of Nanjing, running from Nanjing South Railway Station to Konggangxinchengjiangning. It connects Nanjing South railway station with Nanjing Lukou International Airport. It is 34.9 km (21.7 mi) long has 8 stations. The line started construction on December 27, 2011, and was opened on July 1, 2014. In September 2011 a contract for 15 6 car Class B metro trains was given to CSR Corporation Limited, with the first train arriving in August 2013.
Line 3 is a north–south line on the Nanjing Metro. The line opened on April 1, 2015, running from Linchang to Mozhoudonglu. Currently, the line contains 29 stations spanning a total of 44.87 kilometres (27.88 mi). Between Nanjing South Railway Station and Nanjing Railway Station, it runs parallel to Line 1.
Line 4 is an east-west line on the Nanjing Metro, running from Xianlinhu to Longjiang. It consists of 18 stations and spans a total of 33.75 km (20.97 mi). The line color is purple, and it first opened on January 18, 2017.

Taifenglu station, is an interchange station of Line 3 and Line S8 of the Nanjing Metro. It began operations on Line S8, or the Ningtian (Nanjing–Tianchang) intercity railway, on 1 August 2014 along with the rest of Phase I of that line from Taishanxincun to Jinniuhu; the interchange with Line 3 opened on 1 April 2015.
The Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway is a high-speed rail line under construction in China. The Chinese name of the railway line, Huyurong, is a combination of the abbreviations for Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu. It will run in an east-west direction largely parallel to the Yangtze River, connecting the cities of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Wuhan, Chongqing and Chengdu.
Line S3 of the Nanjing Metro, is a north-south suburban rapid transit line serving part of the southern and southwestern suburbs of Nanjing, running from Nanjing South Railway Station and Gaojiachong. It is the first line of the Nanjing Metro with passing tracks at select stations, allowing from distinct express local services. The first phase of the project is 36.22 km (22.51 mi) long with 19 stations, including 10 underground stations, 8 elevated stations and 1 ground station. The line crosses the Yangtze River using the Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge. In 2012, the first phase of the project was approved by the NDRC for construction with the first section started construction on 27 December 2012. On August 13, 2017, the first phase of Line S3 started to be unmanned testing. The first phase of the line was completed by the end of 2017 and started trial operation on 6 December 2017.
Line S9 is a north–south suburban metro line in the Nanjing Metro system, which opened on December 30, 2017. It connects to Line S1 at Xiangyulunan and crosses Shijiu Lake on a 12 km (7.5 mi) long bridge between Mingjue and Tuanjiewei.
Line S7 of the Nanjing Metro is a north–south suburban rapid transit line primarily serving Nanjing's Lishui District, running from Konggangxinchengjiangning to Wuxiangshan, and was opened on 26 May 2018. The line is served by 4 car Class B trains with a maximum speed of 100 km/h (62 mph). The line is designed to allow for 6 cars trains to accommodate long term growth.
Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs in a south-north direction, connecting Wanqingsha in Nansha District, Panyu Square in Panyu District, Modiesha in Haizhu District, Zhujiang New Town and Guangzhou East Railway Station in Tianhe District. The line commenced service on 28 September 2021.
Wuxiangshan station is a station on and the southern terminus of the suburban Line S7 of the Nanjing Metro. It commenced operations along with the rest of the line on 26 May 2018. Rides from here to Nanjing South Railway Station along Line S7 and the connecting Line S1 typically take around 75 minutes.
Line S2 is a suburban rapid transit line in the Nanjing Metro system which is currently under construction. The initial phase is expected to open in 2027. The line will have passing loops for express and local services with express trains completing travel across the whole line in 30 minutes.
The Shanghai–Nanjing Riverside high-speed railway is a high-speed railway line in Jiangsu, China. The line is 278.53 kilometres long and has a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph). It is opened for operation on 28 September 2023.
Wanqingsha Station is a station on Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro, located underneath Nansha railway station in Guangzhou's Nansha District. It opened on 28 September 2021, and is the current southern terminus of the line.
Nanjingyuanrendong Station is one of the stations in Nanjing Metro Line S6. Its project name is Tangquanxilu Station (汤泉西路站), and it is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing. The station began operations with Line S6 on 28 December 2021. The station's namesake is the mammalian fossil bearing site of Nanjing Man.
