Tetragonitidae is a family of Cretaceous lytoceratin ammonites typically with square or trapezoidal whorl section at least during some growth stage. Members of this family are usually smooth but some lirate or striate, often with constrictions. Other features include suture with a varying number of auxiliary saddles, and an internal suture with two or more. Major saddles are irregularly trifid. The family is derived from the genus Tetragonites .

The Tetragonitidae have also been known as the Tetragonitinae, a subfamily of the Tetrogonitidae (sensu Arkell et al., 1957) which also included the Gaudryderatinae, which has since been elevated to the full family Gaudriceratidae.
Albanites is a genus of extinct cephalopods belonging to the ammonoid order Ceratitida that lived during the Early Triassic epoch.
Ussuria is a genus of Lower Triassic ammonites with a smooth, involute discoidal shell with submonophyllic sutures, belonging to the ceratitid family Ussuriidae.

Aptychi are believed to be mostly granular (Granulaptycus) or concentrically ribbed on the surface (Praestriaptychus)
Tissotiidae is a family of ammonites (Ammonitina) belonging to the Acanthoceratoidea.
Eoderoceratidae is the ancestral and most primitive family of the Eoderoceratoidea; lower Jurassic ammonite cephalopods, characterized by evolute, commonly serpenticonic, shells that had long body chambers and would have had no stable floating position; and thus resemble contemporary Psiloceratoidea. Spines, or tubercles, are typically found in two rows on the inner and outer parts of the whorl sides, joined by radial ribs. These are often more developed on the inner and middle whorls, becoming less so or absent on the outer. Sutures are highly complex.
The Haploceratidae is the type family of the Haploceratoidea, a superfamily in the ammonitina; which according to Donovan et al. (1981) can be derived from the Taramelliceratinae, a subfamily of the Oppeliidae.
Hoplitoidea, formerly Hoplitaceae, is a superfamily of mostly Upper Cretaceous ammonites comprising families united by a similar suture pattern with multiple similar elements that tend to decrease in size going toward the umbilicus, at the inner edge of any whorl, and which are typically in a straight line. Sutural elements are commonly ammonitic, but in some saddles and in others both saddles and lobes are smooth and undivided. Shells are variable in form, both ribbed, evolute forms and smooth, involute forms are included.
Bisatoceras is a late Paleozoic Ammonoidea, a member of the goniatitid family Bisatoceratidae.
Neoglaphyrites is a goniatitid ammonite that lived during the latest Pennsylvanian and early Permian. Its shell is ellipsoidal and moderately involute; the umbilicus deep and typically less than 15 per cent of the shell diameter but in some species closer to 20 per cent. Delicate growth lines forming ventral and lateral sinuses and ventrolateral and dorsolateral salients have been found on Canadian Arctic specimens. The suture is characterized by the ventral lobe split into two broad prongs that are separated by a high median ventral saddle; prongs closely approximate the width of the first lateral lobe. The first lateral saddle is evenly rounded and is nearly symmetrical. The umbilical lobe is V-shaped and internal lobes are deep and narrow.
Pleuroacanthites is one of two genera included in the Early Jurassic Pleuroacanthitidae and sole representative of the subfamily Pleuroacanthitinae. The shell of Pleuroacanthites is very evolute, with numerous whorls subcircular in section becoming incipiently keeled in the adult. Early whorls have parabolic nodes, later whorls are covered with oblique line which form a long ventral sinus. Sutures have lytoceratid (moss-like) lobes but more or less phylloid saddle endings.
The family Dactylioceratidae comprises Early Jurassic ammonite genera with ribbed and commonly tuberculate shells that resembled later Middle Jurassic stephanoceratids and Upper Jurassic perisphinctids. Shells may be either evolute or involute.
Meekoceras is an extinct genus of ceratitid ammonites with a discoidal shell that lived during the Early Triassic Epoch.
Euomphaloceratinae is a subfamily of Upper Cretaceous ammonites included in the Acanthoceratidae, characterized by generally evolute shells with quadrate whorl sections that are strongly ribbed. Sutures are ammonitic, but not overly complex.
Flickiidae is a family of dwarf ammonites with little ornament and very simples sutures known from small pyritic specimens found in middle Cretaceous deposits. Inclusion in the Acanthoceratoidea is tentative.
