The Carnival Tour was a U.S./Mexico concert tour by Haitian hip-hop musician Wyclef Jean. The tour began on February 9, 2018 and ended on October 26, 2018. [1] The Tour was announced on December 25, 2017 on Wyclef's social media accounts [2]
The tour is in support of Wyclef's seventh studio album Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee . The tour will feature other artists such as Beards, Victory Soul Orchestra, The Age, DJ Trumpmastr, and The Knocks. [3] In four of Wyclef's shows, a full orchestra will be featured just as it did at his show at Carnegie Hall in 1998. On December 25, 2017, he announced that he would be teaming up with Live Nation Entertainment Company to feature a full orchestra in Omaha, Columbus, St. Louis, and Dallas. [4] The four shows will each be considered a leg and be called "A Night of Symphonic Hip Hop," and will feature some of the Philadelphia Orchestra. [5] Wyclef has already announced that at these shows he will perform his hit solo song " Gone till November ," and his hit song with the Fugees " Killing Me Softly with His Song ." [6]

Fugees is an American hip hop group formed in the early 1990s. Deriving its name from a shortening of the word "refugees", the group consists of Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel, and Lauryn Hill. The group rose to fame with its second album, The Score (1996), one of the best-selling albums of all time. The group is often cited as being one of the most significant alternative hip hop groups of the 1990s.

Nel Ust Wyclef Jean is a Haitian rapper, musician and actor. At the age of nine, Jean immigrated to the United States with his family. The Ying Yang Twins are an American hip hop duo consisting of Kaine and D-Roc. They are not actually twin brothers. The group debuted in 2000 and rose to mainstream popularity in 2003 collaborating with Britney Spears on her album In the Zone and with Lil Jon on "Get Low". In 2013, the Ying Yang Twins released the Ass in Session and Twurk or Die mixtapes.
Epik High is a South Korean alternative hip hop group from Seoul, composed of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz. They are known for having combined genres and different styles of hip hop throughout their career, which has seen the release of eleven studio albums since their debut in 2003, as well as for their coverage of diverse lyrical themes. The group went on hiatus between 2010 and 2012 whilst two of the members served mandatory military service. Upon their return, YG Entertainment signed Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz on July 25, 2012, with Tablo having already released a solo album under the label. They have received international acclaim, winning several music awards in Korea and becoming the first Korean act to play at Coachella.
"Gone till November" is the third single released from Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean's debut solo album, The Carnival (1997). It peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Jean's highest-charting solo hit in the UK alongside 2000's "It Doesn't Matter". In the United States, the song peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also reached number four in both Canada and New Zealand.
"We Trying to Stay Alive" is the first single released from Wyclef Jean's debut solo album, The Carnival. "Party to Damascus" is a reggae fusion and hip hop song by Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean featuring guest vocals from Missy Elliott. It was written by Jean, Elliott, and Jerry Duplessis for his fourth studio album, The Preacher's Son (2003). Released as the album's lead single, it peaked at #65 on the Billboard Hot 100, #34 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, #49 on the Swedish Singles Chart and #20 on the Norwegian Singles Chart.
