"Problem" is an uptempo dance-pop and R&B song with influences of funk music, which comprises a melody based on drums, saxophone loops, and trumpets. The chorus features uncredited background vocals from American hip-hop artist Big Sean. Lyrically, Grande has stated that the song is about "the feeling of being absolutely terrified to re-approach a relationship that's gone sour – but you want to more than anything."

A.K.A. is the eighth studio album by American singer Jennifer Lopez. It was released on June 13, 2014, by Capitol Records and was her only release on the label. Lopez started working on the album in February 2013, after the end of her first worldwide tour, the Dance Again World Tour. Originally scheduled to be released in November 2013, Lopez postponed the album release to 2014. Undecided between Same Girl and A.K.A. as the album's title, Lopez eventually chose the latter as the title.

In 2011, Azalea uploaded on YouTube her debut music video for "Pu$$y," a song from her debut mixtape, Ignorant Art, where it subsequently went viral, helping to propel the rapper to prominence, after previously sharing home videos as an underground rapper. She released two more videos from the project in following months, "My World" and "The Last Song." In 2012, she aligned herself with Southern rapper T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint. He was then featured on "Murda Bizness," taken from her Glory EP, also appearing in the visuals, marking the beginning of multiple collaborations between the two. In My Defense is the second studio album by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. It was released independently on 19 July 2019, by Azalea's label Bad Dreams Records and Empire Distribution serving as the follow-up to The New Classic (2014). The album contains features from Lil Yachty, Kash Doll, Juicy J, and Iggy's protégée Stini, with production including J. White Did It, who executive produced the album with handling production on majority of its tracks, as well as with Smash David, Go Grizzly and Rico Beats.
