The Grapevine is a free arts, culture, and community newspaper in the Annapolis Valley. It is distributed from Windsor to Annapolis Royal with a circulation of 5,000. The paper is owned by GV Publishing Inc.
The paper was founded in 2004 by Acadia University student Adam Barnett. It began as an 8-page 8.5x11 paper printed at the university and distributed primarily to the Wolfville area. Its founders goal was to bring attention to all the cultural happenings in the area. In 2007, local musicians Andy Flinn & Ariana Nasr took over the paper.
In 2009 Jocelyn Hatt and Jeremy Novak took ownership. In May 2013 The Grapevine switched to printing on newsprint. They released 16-28 page issues that covered the thriving arts and entertainment scene and grew the distribution area from Windsor to Berwick.
In 2016, The Grapevine incorporated under new ownership of a team of five people whom had been working for the paper. The paper is delivered to over 800 locations with 5,000 issues printed bi-weekly.
The Windsor Star is a daily newspaper based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Owned by Postmedia Network, it is published Tuesdays through Saturdays.
The Stranger is an alternative news and commentary publication in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1991 by Tim Keck and cartoonist James Sturm, it has a progressive orientation. The paper's principal competitor was the Seattle Weekly until 2019 when the Weekly ceased print publication. Originally published weekly, The Stranger became biweekly in 2017 and suspended print publication during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, resuming publication of a quarterly arts magazine in March 2023. The Medium is a student newspaper in the United States. It is a student-run weekly satire and comedy publication at Rutgers University, the state university of New Jersey. Founded in 1970 as The Livingston Medium, it is the second largest newspaper in circulation at Rutgers University, after the official student newspaper, The Daily Targum. The Hillsboro Argus was a twice-weekly newspaper in the city of Hillsboro, Oregon, from 1894 to 2017, known as the Washington County Argus for its final year. The Argus was distributed in Washington County, Oregon, United States. First published in 1894, but later merged with the older, 1873-introduced Forest Grove Independent, the paper was owned by the McKinney family for more than 90 years prior to being sold to Advance Publications in 1999. The Argus was published weekly until 1953, then twice-weekly from 1953 until 2015. In early 2017, it was reported that the paper was planning to cease publication in March 2017. The final edition was that of March 29, 2017.
The Sentinel is the official student newspaper of Kennesaw State University (KSU) in Kennesaw, Georgia. As of the fall 2018 semester, the Sentinel had a weekly circulation between 5,000 and 6,000, distributed to over 30 locations on the KSU campus.
Q-Notes is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) newspaper serving North Carolina and South Carolina. It is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Published every other week, it has a circulation of 11,000 print copies and is the largest print publication serving the LGBT community in the American Southeast. The paper traces its origins to the monthly newsletter of the Queen City Quordinators, a Charlotte LGBT organization, which they began publishing in 1983. In 1986, Qnotes changed to a monthly tabloid. In 2006, it merged with the Raleigh, N.C. LGBT newspaper The Front Page.
Isthmus is a free alternative newspaper based in Madison, Wisconsin (US). Founded by Vince O'Hern and Fred Milverstedt in 1976, the paper is published monthly on the first Thursday, with a circulation of 35,000. Isthmus offers local news, opinion, sports and coverage of the arts, dining and music scenes.

The Homeless Grapevine was a street newspaper sold by homeless in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. It was published by the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH) from 1992 to 2009. Vendors bought the paper for 25 cents per copy and sell them for 1 dollar. The papers attempted to be a voice for the homeless and content was entirely dedicated to homeless issues, much of it written by current or former homeless. It was a monthly magazine of 16 pages and as of 2004 had a circulation of 5,000 copies sold by 15–20 vendors. Sellers were often at The West Side Market, Public Square, E. 9th St., East 12th and Coventry.

The Signal is the official student newspaper of Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. As of 2018, The Signal has a weekly circulation of about 5,000 issues distributed to all Georgia State campuses, including Alpharetta, Atlanta, Decatur, Dunwoody, Newton and a handful of locations in the surrounding area. The paper publishes on Tuesdays during Spring and Fall semesters. It primarily covers news, events and issues specific to the Georgia State community and covers stories relating to the city of Atlanta with interest to its readers.
The Plains Producer is a weekly newspaper published Wednesdays by Papers and Publications Pty. Ltd. in Balaklava, South Australia. It was founded in 1903 and was printed until 1941, when it was stopped by the Second World War. The publication was revived in 1946 and it has been published continuously since then.
