The Mall at Fox Run, formerly Fox Run Mall, is a shopping mall in Newington, New Hampshire, just north of Portsmouth. Its main anchor stores include JCPenney, Macy's Men's & Home Store (formerly Jordan Marsh), Macy's Women's (formerly Filene's), and Sears. At 603,618 square feet (56,077.9 m2), it is New Hampshire's fourth largest mall, with 84 shops, all on one level. Completed in 1983, this mall functioned mainly as a successor to the smaller and dated Newington Mall, which has since been converted into a big box retail center.

A historic seaport and popular summer tourist destination on the Piscataqua River bordering the state of Maine, Portsmouth was formerly the home of the Strategic Air Command's Pease Air Force Base, since converted to Portsmouth International Airport at Pease.

The mall is located just off U.S. Route 4 and the Spaulding Turnpike (NH Route 16). It is less than five minutes from Interstate 95. The mall is just 3 miles (4.8 km) from the Maine state border, and like the Pheasant Lane Mall and the Mall at Rockingham Park near the Massachusetts border, the Fox Run Mall draws a significant portion of its business from out-of-state customers (mostly from Maine) seeking to take advantage of New Hampshire's tax free retail climate.

U.S. Route 4 is a 253-mile (407 km) long United States highway that runs from East Greenbush, New York, in the west to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in the east, traversing Vermont.

The Spaulding Turnpike is a 33.2-mile (53.4 km) north-south freeway in eastern New Hampshire. Nearly its entire length is overlapped by New Hampshire Route 16. Its southern terminus is at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle in Portsmouth, a terminus it shares with U.S. Route 4 and NH 16. Its northern terminus is at an interchange with New Hampshire Route 125 in Milton, where NH 16 continues north as a full-access highway.

New Hampshire Route 16 is a 149.75-mile (241.00 km) long north–south highway in New Hampshire. Much of its length is close to the border with Maine. The section from Portsmouth to Milton is a controlled-access toll highway known as the Spaulding Turnpike. Between the Portsmouth Circle and Dover Point, US 4 is also routed along the Turnpike. Its southern terminus of NH 16 is at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle, intersecting with Interstate 95 and the US 1 Bypass. The northern terminus is at the Maine state line near Wentworth's Location, where it continues as Maine State Route 16.

Fox Run Mall is one of a small number of malls to have converted their Filene's store into a second Macy's store following the Federated and May merger. The other malls that have done this are the Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis, Massachusetts, and the Northshore Mall in Peabody, Massachusetts. This gives Macy's at Fox Run a total area of nearly 140,000 square feet (13,000 m2), on par with many of the intermediate-sized Macy's stores nationwide, and put together, make Macy's the largest department store (in total square feet) in the mall.[ citation needed ]

Cape Cod Mall is a shopping mall in Barnstable, Massachusetts, in the village of Hyannis. The mall opened in 1970 and was renovated and expanded in the late 1990s, bringing the property to 728,380 square feet (67,669 m2) of gross leasable area. It is currently managed and partially owned by Simon Property Group.

It is the commercial and transportation hub of Cape Cod and was designated an urban area as of the 1990 census. Because of this, many refer to Hyannis as the "Capital of the Cape". Northshore Mall Shopping mall in Peabody, Massachusetts, United States

The Northshore Mall is a shopping mall in Peabody, Massachusetts, located on Route 114. The mall is currently anchored by Nordstrom, JCPenney, DSW, and two Macy's locations. The mall is 1,991,350 square feet (185,002 m2) in size, and most of this space is located on one level, with the exception of the Nordstrom wing and most anchor stores. The former Jordan Marsh store was four stories, until it was demolished to make way for the Nordstrom store. The mall is currently managed by Simon Property Group, who owns 56.4% of it, and is less than a mile away from Simon's Liberty Tree Mall.

Fox Run Mall was originally managed by Jones Lang Lasalle, and from 2011 through 2017 by Simon Properties. [1]

In 2015, Sears Holdings spun off 235 of its properties, including the Sears at Fox Run Mall, into Seritage Growth Properties. [2]

Sears Holdings Corporation is an American holding company headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. It was the parent company of the chain stores Kmart and Sears and was founded after Kmart purchased Sears in 2005. It was the 20th-largest retailing company in the United States in 2015 and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on October 15, 2018.

On October 15, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 142 stores nationwide. [3]

The Mall at Rockingham Park is the largest shopping mall in the state of New Hampshire, with 1,024,171 square feet (95,148.6 m2) of floor space. The mall is located in the town of Salem, about 30 miles (48 km) north of Boston.The mall is adjacent to Interstate 93 and the former Rockingham Park race track in Salem, and was the state's third shopping mall to be built.
