The seventh season of The Voice began airing on 15 April 2018, [1] although it was originally scheduled to debut on 16 April 2018. [2] The coaching line-up consisted of returning coaches Delta Goodrem, returning for her sixth season, Boy George and Kelly Rowland, both returning for their second, and new addition Joe Jonas, replacing Seal. Sam Perry from Team Kelly won the competition on June 17, 2018, marking Rowland's first win as a coach.
The Voice is an Australian singing competition television series broadcast on Nine, based on the original The Voice of Holland. The show is hosted by Sonia Kruger, who debuted as host during the fifth season, following the departure of Darren McMullen.
Delta Lea Goodrem is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. Born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, she enrolled in dancing, acting, singing and piano classes at a young age. She began her career as a child actress, starring in various television shows. She rose to prominence in 2002 playing a shy school girl called Nina Tucker in the Australian soap opera Neighbours.
Boy George is an English singer, songwriter, DJ and fashion designer. He is the lead singer of the pop band Culture Club. At the height of the band's fame, during the 1980s, they recorded global hit songs such as "Karma Chameleon", "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" and "Time ". George is known for his soulful voice and androgynous appearance. He was part of the English New Romantic movement which emerged in the late 1970s to the early 1980s.
On 11 October 2017, the series was renewed for a seventh season and it was announced that Goodrem, George and Rowland would all return. [3] On 14 December 2017, Nine announced Joe Jonas would replace Seal as the fourth judge for the seventh season. [4]
Joseph Adam Jonas is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He rose to fame as a member of the pop rock band the Jonas Brothers, alongside his brothers Kevin and Nick. The group released their debut studio album It's About Time through the Columbia label in 2006, which failed to achieve commercial success. After signing with Hollywood Records, the group released their self-titled second studio album in 2007, which became their breakthrough record. The band became prominent figures on the Disney Channel during this time, gaining a large following through the network: they appeared in the widely successful musical television film Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) as well as two of their own series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream (2008–2010) and Jonas (2009–2010).

The coaches performed a cover of "Heroes" together at the end of the show.
"Heroes" is a song by English musician David Bowie. It was co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno, produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti, and recorded in July and August 1977 at Hansa Studio by the Wall. It was released on 23 September 1977 as the lead single from his 12th studio album of the same name, backed with the song "V-2 Schneider". A product of Bowie's "Berlin" period, the track was not a huge hit in the United Kingdom or United States after its release, but it has since become one of his signature songs. In January 2016, following Bowie's death, the song reached a new peak of number 12 in the UK Singles Chart. "Heroes" has been cited as Bowie's second-most covered song after "Rebel Rebel".

The first episode of the knockouts aired on 6 May 2018. Each knockout round pits 3 artists from the same team against each other, with only one act winning each round. The judges also get two 'steals' each for the entirety of the knockouts, which allows them to steal a rejected act from another team.
