The Voice Kids is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The fifth series began airing on 27 December 2021, on ITV. The series was confirmed by ITV and applications opened in August 2020. [1] [2] Emma Willis returns to present the series. Danny Jones, Pixie Lott and will.i.am return as coaches, whilst on 7 February 2021, it was announced that Melanie C would replace Paloma Faith as a coach, who left after one series due to her pregnancy. Filming for the blind auditions began on 13 February 2021, whilst the final was pre-recorded on 13 March 2021, for which public voting was limited to fans in the auditorium. It was announced that the series would contain three episodes – two blind auditions and the final – aired over three consecutive nights, with the show concluding on 29 December. [3]
Torrin Cuthill won the competition, marking Melanie C's first and only win as a coach. For the first time in the show's history, Christmas songs were included.

The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The first series began on 24 March 2012 and ended on 2 June 2012. The show was co-presented by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates on BBC One. The series was won by Leanne Mitchell, who was on Tom Jones' team. Becky Hill, who was on Jessie J’s team and eliminated in the fifth live show (semi-final) of the competition, reached Number One in the UK Singles Chart as a guest vocalist on the hit song, "Gecko (Overdrive)" alongside Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens, and would find much success in the music industry after that.

The X Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The fourteenth series began airing on ITV on 2 September 2017, presented by Dermot O'Leary. For the first time in seven years, the judging panel remained the same as the previous series, with Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh returning. This is the first series not to include companion show The Xtra Factor, after it was cancelled in January 2017. Its replacement is a programme called Xtra Bites presented by Becca Dudley on the ITV Hub. This is also the first series to be sponsored by Just Eat, with the show having been sponsored by TalkTalk since 2009, as well as the second time the show has premiered in September, rather than August, since the first series in 2004. Rak-Su won the competition on 3 December 2017 and they became the second group to win the competition and Simon Cowell became the winning mentor for the fourth time.

The twelfth series of Dancing on Ice debuted on ITV on 5 January 2020. During the finale of the eleventh series, it was announced that Dancing on Ice had been renewed for another series. The series is once again filmed in the purpose-built studio at Bovingdon Airfield.
