It is found in Benin, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zambia, and possibly Tanzania. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
