Three Legs Town was an unincorporated community in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States. It was located near the mouth of Stillwater Creek. [2]

Tuscarawas County is a county located in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2010 census, the population was 92,582. Its county seat is New Philadelphia. Its name is a Delaware Indian word variously translated as "old town" or "open mouth".

According to Native American legend, it was apparently named after the village's chief who had a third leg. After the chief was killed, the town was abandoned. [3]
