Yes (band) English rock band

Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Bill Bruford. The band has undergone numerous formations throughout its history; nineteen musicians have been full-time members. Since June 2015, it has consisted of guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes, singer Jon Davison, and bassist Billy Sherwood. Yes have explored several musical styles over the years, and are most notably regarded as progressive rock pioneers.

Tony Kaye (musician)

Anthony John Selvidge, known professionally as Tony Kaye, is an English keyboardist, songwriter, producer and manager, best known as a founding member of the English Progressive rock band Yes. Born into a musical family, Kaye was classically trained and intended to become a concert pianist before he developed an interest in jazz and contemporary rock and pop music. He joined several groups through the 1960s, including the Federals, Johnny Taylor's Star Combo, Jimmy Winston & His Reflections, and Bittersweet.

Oliver Wakeman

Oliver Wakeman is an English musician, rock keyboardist and composer, best known as a member of Yes from 2008 to 2011, having filled the role of keyboardist previously held by his father, Rick Wakeman.

Union (Yes album) 1991 studio album by Yes

Union is the thirteenth studio album by English progressive rock band Yes, released on 30 April 1991 by Arista Records. Production began following the amalgamation of two bands featuring current and previous members of Yes: Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (ABWH), consisting of Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe, and Yes, then consisting of Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye and Alan White. The eight musicians signed with Arista and a combination of unfinished tracks by both groups were selected for Union. The album was highly problematic from the start, including disagreement from some members about the "merger" of the two bands, strained relations during the recording sessions, and decisions by the production team of Jon Anderson and Jonathan Elias to bring in session musicians to re-record parts that Wakeman and Howe had already put down, and to record additional parts on already finished tracks.

Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe British rock band

Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe were a progressive rock band active from 1988 to 1990 that comprised four past members of the English progressive rock band Yes. Singer Jon Anderson left Yes as he felt increasingly constrained by their commercial and pop-oriented direction in the 1980s. He began an album with other members from one of the band's line-ups from the 1970s, namely guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and drummer Bill Bruford, who invited Tony Levin to play bass.

Keys to Ascension 1996 live album / studio album by Yes

Keys to Ascension is the fourth live and fifteenth studio album by English progressive rock band Yes, released as a double album in October 1996 on Essential Records. In 1995, guitarist Trevor Rabin and keyboardist Tony Kaye left the group which marked the return of former members Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman, thus reuniting them with vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, and drummer Alan White, a line-up that had last performed in 1979. The group relocated to Anderson's hometown of San Luis Obispo, California to make a new album and to promote their reunion with three shows at the city's Fremont Theater in March 1996. Keys to Ascension features half of the live set from the 1996 shows and two studio new tracks which marked a return to Yes writing longform pieces.

Talk (Yes album) 1994 studio album by Yes

Talk is the fourteenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 21 March 1994 by Victory Music. Recording began in late 1992 with the line-up of Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Chris Squire, Alan White and Tony Kaye. Keyboardist Rick Wakeman was to be involved in the project before contractual problems led to his withdrawal. The album was recorded onto hard disk at Rabin's home studio using an early version of the digital audio workstation software Digital Performer.

The Ultimate Yes: 35th Anniversary Collection 2003 box set by Yes

The Ultimate Yes: 35th Anniversary Collection is a compilation album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It was originally released on 2 CDs on 28 July 2003 by Warner Music in the United Kingdom.
