Torrentispora is a genus of fungi in the family Xenospadicoidaceae of the Ascomycota. [1]
Until 2017, the relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the Sordariomycetes class was unknown ( incertae sedis ). [2] In 2017, it was placed within the family Xenospadicoidaceae, the only member of the monotypic order Xenospadicoidales. [3]
Eurotiomycetes is a large class of ascomycetes with cleistothecial ascocarps within the subphylum Pezizomycotina, currently containing around 3810 species according to the Catalogue of Life. It is the third largest lichenized class, with more than 1200 lichen species that are mostly bitunicate in the formation of asci. It contains most of the fungi previously known morphologically as "Plectomycetes".
Sordariomycetes is a class of fungi in the subdivision Pezizomycotina (Ascomycota). It is the second-largest class of Ascomycota, with a worldwide distribution that mostly accommodates terrestrial based taxa, although several can also be found in aquatic habitats. Some are phytopathogens that can cause leaf, stem, and root diseases in a wide variety of hosts, while other genera can cause diseases in arthropods and mammals.
The Dactylosporaceae or Sclerococcaceae are a family of lichen-forming fungi in the class Eurotiomycetes. It is the only family of the order Sclerococcales and subclass Sclerococcomycetidae.
Jobellisia is a genus of fungi within the monotypic family Jobellisiaceae and the monotypic order Jobellisiales and also the subclass Hypocreomycetidae, and class Sordariomycetes. The genus was circumscribed by Margaret Elizabeth Barr-Bigelow in 1993 with Jobellisia luteola as the type species. It contains species that grow on dead wood and bark in tropical and temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
Endoxyla is a genus of fungi within the Boliniaceae family.
Ascotaiwania is a genus of fungi in the Sordariomycetes class of the Ascomycota. In 2020, it was placed in the order Savoryellales and family of Savoryellaceae.
Conioscyphascus is a fungal genus in the Sordariomycetes class of the Ascomycota. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the class is unknown, and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any order or family. The genus, Conioscyphascus contains the single species Conioscyphascus varius, described as new to science in 2004. Until Conioscyphascus gracilis(Munk) Réblová & Seifert was found later in 2004.
Tengiomyces is a genus of fungi in the Coronophorales order of the Ascomycota. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the Sordariomycetes class is unknown, and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any family. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Tengiomyces indicus.
The Chaetosphaerellaceae are a family of fungi in the Ascomycota, class Sordariomycetes. The family was described in 2004. Species in the family have a widespread distribution, and are found in both temperate and tropical areas, where they grow saprobically on fallen wood.
The Chaetosphaeriaceae are a family of fungi in the Ascomycota, class Sordariomycetes. The family was circumscribed by Martina Réblová, Margaret Elizabeth Barr Bigelow, and Gary Samuels in 1999. Species in the family have a cosmopolitan distribution, and are found in both temperate and tropical climates. Fossils of the Chaetosphaeriaceae are known from the Carboniferous, Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene and more recent sediments.
The Magnaporthales are an order of fungi within the class Sordariomycetes and subclass Diaporthomycetidae. It has several water based species and genera.
Glomerellales is an order of ascomycetous fungi within the subclass Hypocreomycetidae (Sordariomycetes). The order includes saprobes, endophytes and pathogens on plants, animals and other fungi with representatives found all over the world in varying habitats.
Xenospadicoidaceae is a family of fungus first described in 2017. Its parent taxon, Xenospadicoidales, is a monotypic order in the class Sordariomycetes.
Diaporthomycetidae is a subclass of sac fungi under the class Sordariomycetes.
Savoryellomycetidae is a subclass of sac fungi within the class of Sordariomycetes. It contains 4 known orders of Conioscyphales, Fuscosporellales, Pleurotheciales and Savoryellales.
Conioscyphales is an order of freshwater and terrestrial fungi within the division Ascomycota. It is in the subclass Savoryellomycetidae and the class Sordariomycetes and the subdivision of Pezizomycotina.
Fuscosporellales is an order of fungi within the phylum of Ascomycota and in the class Sordariomycetes and subdivision of Pezizomycotina.
Savoryellaceae is a family of aquatic based fungi. It is the only family in the monotypic order Savoryellales within the class Sordariomycetes, division Ascomycota.
Pisorisporiales is an order of fungi within the phylum of Ascomycota and in the class Sordariomycetes and subdivision of Pezizomycotina and also its own subclass Pisorisporiomycetidae.
Pleurotheciaceae is a family of ascomycetous fungi within the monotypic order of Pleurotheciales in the subclass Savoryellomycetidae and within the class Sordariomycetes.
