Miri Airport served as gateway to rural town in Miri Division and Limbang Division. Sibu Airport, Bintulu Airport, Kuching International Airport, Miri Airport served as gateway to West Malaysia. Kuching International Airport and Miri Airport have weekly flight to Singapore.
Bus stations in Sarawak have unique culture of Chinese language sign. Although the place name in Chinese language is not for official purpose.
Route 103 in Kuching become one of the first bus service in Sarawak to have station announcement which featuring Malay, English and Mandarin Chinese.
Chinese language place name are not necessary understandable among Chinese. For example, Kapit (加帛) Mukah (沐膠) and Betong (木中) are not commonly used but other name of other divisions of Sarawak such as Kuching (古晉),Serian (西連), Sri Aman (斯里阿曼), Sarikei (泗里街), Sibu (詩巫), Miri (美里),Bintulu (民都魯) and Limbang (林夢) are commonly used. Meanwhile Samarahan (三馬拉漢) is only understandable due to identical pronounce in Malay/English. The most popular district name in Chinese are Bau (石隆門) and Batu Niah (尼亞石山).

Fares of express bus are depend on distance. Fares of local bus bas berhenti-henti route within Miri City, Kuching Division, Samarahan Division, Serian, Bintulu Division, Sibu Division, Sarikei Division are RM1 under Flat Rate Bus Fare Programme.
There are some free bus route which either operate under government sanctioned project or shuttle bus operate by private company. Kuching have several bus route such as AEON shuttle bus, Route 103, Damai Loop and Downtown Heritage Loop. Serian have the shortest bus route in Sarawak operate by Roxy Beach Hotel from Serian Bus Station to Lepapa Hypermarket. Kapit have shuttle van to send passenger from Kapit Town to Kapit bus stop.

Sibu is an inland city in the central region of Sarawak. It is the capital of Sibu District in Sibu Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. The city is located on the island of Borneo and covers an area of 129.5 square kilometres (50.0 sq mi). It is located at the confluence of the Rajang and Igan Rivers, some 60 kilometres from the South China Sea and approximately 191.5 kilometres (119 mi) north-east of the state capital Kuching. Sibu is mainly populated by people of Chinese descent, mainly from Fuzhou. Other ethnic groups such as Iban, Malay and Melanau are also present, but unlike other regions of Sarawak, they are not as significant. The cities population as of 2010 is 162,676.
Miri is a coastal city in northeastern Sarawak, Malaysia, located near the border of Brunei, on the island of Borneo. The city covers an area of 997.43 square kilometres (385.11 sq mi), located 798 kilometres (496 mi) northeast of Kuching and 329 kilometres (204 mi) southwest of Kota Kinabalu. Miri is the second largest city in Sarawak, with a population of 300,543 as of 2020. The city is also the capital of Miri District of the Miri Division.

Malaysian Federal Roads System, is the main national road network in Malaysia. All Federal Roads in Malaysia are under the purview of the Ministry of Works (MOW). According to the Ministerial Functions Act 1969, the MOW is responsible to plan, build and maintain all Federal Roads gazetted under the Federal Roads Act 1959. Pan Borneo Highway, also known as Trans-Borneo Highway or Trans-Kalimantan Highway, is a road network on Borneo Island connecting two Malaysian states, Sabah and Sarawak, with Brunei and Kalimantan region in Indonesia. The highway is numbered AH150 in the Asian Highway Network and as Federal Route 1 in Sarawak. In Sabah, the route numbers given are 1, 13 and 22. The highway is a joint project between both governments which started as soon as the formation of Malaysia in 1963 which comprised Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore. The lack of a road network system in Sarawak was the main factor of the construction.

Bintulu is a coastal town on the island of Borneo in the central region of Sarawak, Malaysia. Bintulu is located 610 kilometres (380 mi) northeast of Kuching, 216 kilometres (134 mi) northeast of Sibu, and 200 kilometres (120 mi) southwest of Miri. With a population of 114,058 as of 2010, Bintulu is the capital of the Bintulu District of the Bintulu Division of Sarawak, Malaysia.
The Diocese of Kuching is a diocese of the Anglican Church of the Province of South East Asia that covers Sarawak and Brunei. Founded in 1962, the see was originally established as the Bishopric of Sarawak linked to the Diocese of Labuan in 1855. The current bishop is the Most Rev'd Danald Jute, 14th Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Kuching and Brunei, who was consecrated on 13 August 2017. His seat is at St. Thomas' Cathedral, Kuching.
MASwings Sdn Bhd is a regional airline operating the Rural Air Services (RAS) in East Malaysia. It took over the routes operated by FlyAsianXpress (2006-2007) and the RAS flights by Malaysia Airlines (1965-2006). The first flight was on 1 October 2007, which is also the anniversary of the founding of Malaysia Airlines in 1972. Its headquarters are located in MAS/MASwings Administration Building, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Sabah. Previously its head office was located in the Beautiful Jade Centre in Miri.
Cats FM is a private FM radio station airing from Jalan Bako, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The radio covers areas of Sarawak and Brunei. The radio airs in Malay and Iban. The station used to air programmes in English and Mandarin Chinese.
MRT Retail Sdn. Bhd. doing business as Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia (KR1M) is a government owned chain of convenience stores in Malaysia. It was established as part of the national campaign of 1Malaysia. Due to low turnout rate and support from nation, it has shutdown nationwide shops in 2017.
The Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) is a public amenities centre located at some state capitals and urban areas in Malaysia. The rural counterpart of UTC is Rural Transformation Center(RTC).
Mukah (muːkəh), historically known as Muka is a coastal town which serves as the capital and the administrative center of the Mukah Division since 1 March 2002.
