The West African Football Union, officially abbreviated as WAFU-UFOA and WAFU, is a sports governing body representing the football associations in West Africa that was founded in 1975 and is a subregional body of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Blind football in Cameroon is a sport played by people with vision impairments in Cameroon. The sport is currently in the development stage, with various activities supporting these efforts. A national competition for the sport took place in September 2016.
Goalball in Cameroon is one of several sports available to people with vision impairments to participate in. It arrived late to the blind sports community in Cameroon, with torball arriving first. It has subsequently, been supported domestically by clubs such as Club for the Blind Youth of Cameroon (CJARC) and PROMHANDICAM Yaounde.
Blind sports in Cameroon include goalball, torball, athletics, African wrestling, judo and 5-a-side football. Blind sports first began in the 2000s, with Cameroon participating in national and international competitions, and hosting workshops. In 2010, a new law was passed to try to increase enforcement of making buildings handicap accessible.

The tournament took place in Equatorial Guinea from 18 to 28 February 2020.
The 2022 CAF Women's Champions League UNIFFAC Qualifiers is the 2nd edition of CAF Women's Champions League UNIFFAC Qualifiers tournament organised by the UNIFFAC for the women's clubs of association nations. This edition was originally to be held from 20 August to 4 September 2022 in the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé. However on 11 August the competition was postponed indefinitely following the lack of guarantee from the government of the Republic of Cameroon, the new dates and hosts will be fixed by UNIFFAC. On 24 August 2022 it was announced that Equatorial Guinea will host the tournament starting from 10 september. The winners of the tournament qualified for the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League.
